I really didn't want to come on here and have another crack at Barry Hall but I will! I've been going on about this since the Staker incident & I haven't changed my opinion. He is of NO USE to our team anymore! Roos has said that he will begin to play the youngsters. Today, they were terrific. Brabazon gave it a fair crack. He gets the nod ahead of Buchanan or Ablett no problem. Fancy a youngster putting in a performance like that at a pretty hostile venue. Well done Brabazon. He tired a little when the game went up a notch but great effort.Smith should keep Malceski out as he needs to keep playing seniors. Good effort. Barry Hall should get 3 weeks from the tribunual.............................& another 6 from Roos...................that should see out his career. We can get on with things & he can get on with his things!

That , once again, he should do an inexplicable act...............yet another brain explosion ........................ says to me that he cannot control himself & basically Barry & the opposition players need to be protected from this absolute uncontrolable behaviour, before he harms someone & leaves our game with an even worse reputation then he has now.

Should they sign him up for another year, then it is a lack of leadership & positive direction from the coach, Paul Roos & is sending the wrong messages to the yougsters.
Take it from me. I have already heard that Laidlaw is probably going to look for opportunity elsewhere in Victoria next year or soon after. Other youngsters will follow suit should the leaders not take a stance & give Hall the flick!
Yeah.............so what! Barry kicked another 4 goals & is playing well. Stiff sh.t! We still lost. Get rid of him now. Basically, Grundy & White know that they can get rubbed out & they'll be forgiven by Roos because they are 'key' parts of the team. Was today the start of their careers at the tribunual? Holy cow!
In 2004 - 2007, we hardly had anyone reported such was the discipline demanded by the leadership group (ironically Barry was in it)!
I questioned prior to the 2008 season as to why Barry removed himself from the leadership group but I know that he hasn't been the same since.
He is a nut case!
Don't listen to what I have to say. Listen to the kids out there! My wife & kids, who are fanatical Swans supporters like myself, could not believe what they saw today from Bazza!

My 9 year old said........................"Is he stupid? Why does he do that? I don't want to watch him in our team any more"!
He didn't care about the 4 goals he kicked. He didn't care that we lost. He didn't care that Ted Richards made another couple mistakes in the backline at crucial stages but he could only keep saying how mad he was with Bazza!

Warning to all those at the top at the Swans!
Don't keep semding my 3 children propaganda about 'how well we are going' so that they stay interested as Melbourne based supporters. They have no say in that! I am the one paying top dollar for their memberships. Send it to me.
What they want to see is some REAL F..KING LEADERSHIP from you! Don't sign him on next year! That is sending the message to all the young players & all the young supporters that may be losing a little interest!

He'll get 2 or 3 weeks....................he'll be back in the team for another 3 or so weeks.....he'll kick a few goals in the meantime while he is "controlling his aggression" for all of 3 weeks & then will snap again.
But hopefully, you won't have signed him on!

I'm outta here!
So frustrated with him because the team just gets used to having him there only to have him go missing again & we have to restructure again!

Start restructuring without him NOW!!:mad:

Hey guys, not stalkin but I respect your crew and the rivalry we have had. Just a bit worried that Hall's brain freezes will not only damage you, but one day, someone- will he stop? How much time does he take of your leaders to calm him. ..(Captain Kirk who to me is a bloody legend) . If I was the playing group I would send him off on a long holiday and make the most of ya young crew. farewell to Barry's Hall of fame~.

The thing is that we need Barry Hall in 2010. Without him our forward line will be completely impotent.

Rutten smashed him with an elbow, it wouldn't even have squashed an ant. If he carn't cop that he should retire. Its a pity he's not in the same weight division as Mundine as it would be good to see him knockout that scumbag.

No one can control Barry, not even himself. It's just a matter of either accepting that this sort of stuff will happen and taking the bad with the good or cutting him loose. If we were in contention for a flag I'd probably be happy to take the risk and let hm play on next season but as it stands I think it's time for Baz to hang up the boots and pull on the gloves. Hopefully this time next year we can applaud him for punching people in the face.

For years we have endured the pathetic rediculous "jumper punch" because AFL footballers realised they could not get away with a direct fist hit

..BUT NOT our BBBazza!.... the brain no longer seems to function under pressure and I wonder whether... he really has the uncontrolled insanity to eventually crumple "Tyson style"

The disappointing thing is he thinks he can get away with cheap shots!

The only reason would be structure and a maybe little more fake competitiveness.

But as a marquee...draw card.. he IS COOKED!

As a leader and example ... he IS COOKED!

As a match winner ...he is rapidly turning into burnt mushy STEW!

GIVE , the young ones a chance.. they won't be world beaters to start with but the more experience & responsibility they get...the quicker they develop. THE SOONER THE BETTER!:thumbsu:

Very difficult decison coming up..glad I don't have to make it

So we ALL await news and developments...likely at year end .

My "reading between lines" figuring is BBBH's mumblings about body etc are merely "depends on how much money they offer"

HIS HEART ..is no longer team success orientated !!!

.....but what value does Roosey attribute to him longer term?????????

DUNNO... but he is like ......the kid in the classroom that gets sent to detention regularly...and that must be taking a toll on coaches and club!

I am with MFan, Corps, Tedeski etc who says bye Barry.

We are not a finals threat this year, and therefore we are only keeping him for 2010, where likely we will have similar amount of impact.

Might as well develop guys like White, Johnston, Grundy, Murphy or other KPP they might want to play up forward.

This also makes it important to get these guys experience in that role until the end of this season. It will be invaluable.

Don't forget, provided he can get his body right, we still have Playfair to come back who can provide us another target. (experienced and strong enough)
(I am not comparing Hall to Playfair)

Hall has been a great player for this club, but as the guys have said, we need leadership to teach the young guys the right culture.

Though, I will accept whatever decision the club makes. They certainly know more about Hall than anyone on this forum.
 
Hall can't leave! He is vital to our structure.. Especially with MOL gone.

I agree, its not ideal. But, for the attacking football people. It will draw our midfielders closer to goal. Our goal-spread will change from predominately forward to split with the midfield.

It makes us less predictable.

Less predictable is not necessarily a good thing.
 
For a guy with no brain he's still a great player, but I appreciate the wider problem that Hall gives to Sydney.

As for your forward structure being crap without him, I don't know what you are talking about, you didn't have any problems against Port. :(
