I was just going to say the same thing. I was wondering what your reasoning was for Curnow slipping so far. While I would love to get him at the Bulldogs, I just don't think he will slip that far.

Personally I would be happy with Ben McKay at one of our picks so I'm just hoping he gets past Carlton and North Melb.

I'm assuming it's because of his little escapade overnight.

I think Curnow will be the Darling of this draft. He could slip further than most think, some clubs take stuff like his escapade last night really seriously so their club doesn't get a bad rep.

Could see Hawthorn taking him, with the whole Luke Hodge thing. I probably don't want to say too much about that so I don't anger too many Hawthorn fans. Just a thought.

I was contemplating giving Ben McKay to Bulldogs and then giving Curnow to Freo, but A. That would seem a bit biased and wouldn't be a good start to my phantom drafting and B. If you were the Bulldogs, why wouldn't you want to take Curnow? I was thinking Curnow for Carlton as well, but on a more personal level i prefer Gresham and think he might end up doing more than Curnow

I would be happy if the Dogs draft Curnow if he is available, so long as they also get a key defender with their other pick in the 20's. Based on most phantom's Ben McKay looks like being the best available at that pick and he also doesn't mind playing forward which is a bonus. Plus I really like his size, but really I would be happy with any of the key defenders that have been bandied about. It is a massive gap in our list at the moment which if not addressed soon will stop us from reaching our full potential. So I see this as a critical draft for the Doggies.

Swap Mathieson with Curnow and I would be pretty happy. Great kpd, raw kpf, a forward utility who can be whooped into line by his brother who is one of the most hard working and respected players at the club and a highly skilled (but teenie tiny) midfielder who would go much higher if he was a couple of cm taller

Crows would take Curnow. They need tall forwards. And less of a risk than Burton.

I'm going to be doing another version of this on Monday, I'll add a few more picks and swap some things around.

Thanks for all the great feedback!

I do agree with this, and might change it, but I looked ahead into the future. If Burton came back and became a great tall forward, there would be no risk of him wanting to go home. If Curnow arrived, he might want to go play with his brother, or just go back to Victoria.

Crows won't take balic with pick 9. I'd be pissed off if they did. No way on earth curnow slips out of top 10.

I would still be happy with Burton. Just think they would select Curnow. They would be thinking that the club would be a good environment for him.
