I still haven't even made it halfway through bf3 campaign lol and I have 300hrs of MP gameplay clocked up...

BF3 campaign was ok, albeit very short (as it should be for a MP game), i usually just play through it to see all the locations they used and to take a break from the MP side of things.

Battlefield 4 will launch in October as rumoured, and will be shortly followed by an expansion called Drone Strike. The confirmation comes from an Electronics Boutique pre-order poster spotted in the wild.

No doubt it'll be a PS4 launch title but no chance we'll get the PS4 on the 31st of October, Late Nov/early Dec I'm predicting. I'll be happy to wait, will still be on GTAV when the game launches anyway.

I don't want to jump in on BF3 on PS3 as I'd be a lame duck. More interested in joining BF4 at launch while everyone's finding their feet.

Exactly this for me. I want to broaden my horizons somewhat with the next gen on the way, so I will be throwing out the old Call of Duty's and will give this a crack.

My advice for someone new to Battlefield...
Get BF3.

Use BF3 time with smaller 24 player servers to get accustomed to these gameplay elements that will carryover into BF4:

Wait until BF4, enter a 64 player server against Battlefield series veterans, get overwhelmed at all the shit I listed above, chewed up and spat out and qq on BigFooty about how shit of a time you're having.


Mark my words, the learning curve will be steep.
