I'm looking all the way back to where the Hawks began their 3peat. Trading gov could be a master plan, or really stupid one. However as I'm the coach I'm going to make one of the most outrageus deals ever.
McGovern to Freo. Imagine what they would give up. Obviously we match a bid. I'd demand two first rounders, and we will get it.
McGov for Freos 2018 1st and 2019 1st.
Gaff I would do our best to hold. Reason why, won't get a pick or player valuable enough to lose him. Brander can replace Gov. Darling to replace JK and Waterman/Allen CHF.
Yeo and Dug to form the best rebounding defence in the AFL. On trade one of our 1st and a sweetener 2nd? For Coniglio. Cripps would be nice, doubt he leaves.

Would never trade a good player for draft picks as the draft is a lottery and still can’t understand how much faith clubs put into the draft with total unknowns.

I think we would match for Gov at least, so see what you can come up with in terms of a trade. 2x firsts or a first and a player

Nah no one specific yet. But this is a draft said to be top heavy so I’d be keen to grab a top ten pick this year to really get the jump on our rebuild.

I trade Masten for Dangerfield and Schofield for Dustin Martin, both of whom agree to play without a wage

I then negotiate Nic Nat's salary down to minimum wage

I use the space in the salary cap to convince Ronaldo to switch codes

Inside mid is now: Naitanui, Dangerfield, Martin, Ronaldo

I sign Kennedy for 10 more years and replace his legs with state of the art prosthetics developed by Boston Robotics, extending his career indefinitely

Finally I ship Gaff off to war for a year so he can develop a bit of grit. Shouldn't be hard to start one we just need to parachute Jackson Nelson into North Korea and let him do his thing
