Been named as an emergency for the Crows this week.

Could be the x-factor going into finals - lord knows we need his clearances and HBGs in the middle.

agree old son. i think its a gamble we gotta take, esp considering our clearance stats.

there is a lot more UPside than downside in giving him a run in R21/22 at Clarkes expense

DT

Forgot to bring you to account on a little prediction I remember you making a few wks back (not sure if anyone else has mentioned)...

...you said that Weagles were amazingly good value to beat us by over 39 points at Subi and worth a flutter. They were paying 7-1 or similar. I thought you had finallly gone completely off the deep end! Excellent call old son :thumbsu: Any more little tips for me to supplement me hard earned?

I reckon Hudson will get a run next week. He could possibly replace Biglands in the selected side this week, even though he's been names for North.
He would be a great acquisition to the side if fit enough for AFL. Craig made a comment a few nights ago on teev that he thought Hudson was fit enough for selection. That may be a pointer.

I think his best chance of playing is this week if Biglands doesn't make it.

Otherwise I'm finding it hard to see where a spot will become available for him. I'd love to see him in instead of Clarke but history suggests the Selection Committee won't drop Clarke (or Biglands). Have either of them been dropped other than for injury ever before? I don't think they have. You could extend that across the whole squad. We don't really drop experienced players who have been part of the team all year.

I hope I'm wrong but I think Hudson might struggle to displace either of them.

When is the team flying out? Someone get down to the airport to see if Huddo is with them as a "travelling emergency" ;)

Why can't Biglands go forward and all three play?

I think we need someone like him with a big body to take contested marks inside our 50. Sure he isn't great kick, but a shot on goal is better than not having one at all.

Biglands could be a forward but would he get a game as a forward. He'd then be competing for positions with McGregor, Bock, Hentschel, Ricciuto and even Welsh. I don't think he's good enough to be selected ahead of any of those. I honestly don't think he would be used as anything more than a ruckman who can pinch hit up forward.

But, none of those who you mentioned have a strong body and are tall. McGregor and Hentschel are pretty light for KPP.

is ricciuto anywhere near close enough to going back in the middle for the finals? He did have a run in their a couple of weeks back (the week he got reported) in the 2nd half. Biglands has also been getting runs upforward this year already.

Well today maybe:p
I made that call 6 weeks ago. and reaffirmed it several times along the way.

Lade is in for some brutal punishment next week:thumbsu: :thumbsu:

The worst part about this weeks scenario is that as a Bays supporter, we lose Dougie and line up against a very committed Huddo, in a battle for a double chance.
