Sounds like he is on his way out. I thought the whole Grundy Kennedy Broomhead Ramsay draft would make it.
Ben Kennedy is a mate on Brodie Grundys won't that upset him to split them up?
Kennedy cost us Dawes or Wellingham. Big mistake and set us back further with his development not coming on. Is McRae to blame is Buckley to blame or is Kennedy himself to blame?

BenKen for Howe is upgrade.

Not all draft selections are right, its not a big deal move on

We still got Grunby, Broomhead and Ramsay out of that draft.

Just lol @ this thread. It's like you're not even trying to make an effort to hide that you're trolling anymore TG...

I thought he stopped trying to hide that ages ago ?

Kennedy has been developed poorly at Collingwood imv. He has started numerous games as a sub and he was sold by the club as being one of the pillars of the rebuild, that is, he was our nominal first pick in 2012 before trades.

He deserved games over Jarryd Blair. A limited player who won't take us anywhere. Now we are trading him.

Our list management strategy is a clusterf...

Although Dawes is a spud, I don't like judging his ability solely on his playing attributes.

He was a fine ambassador for the club, he was a model citizen and he was a leader.

Teams aren't all about player X being better than player Y. It is about intangibles as leadership, chemistry and team dynamics. It's fair to say since we traded Dawes, our playing group has been struck by disunity, a lack of leadership and a number of Offield incidents. Not saying Dawes alone would have solved this, but he was a highly respected player and clubman by Geoff Walsh.

Maybe it is BKs fault. I assume that he had a set of KPIs that he had to meet to break into the senior team, beyond what we saw in his VFL games. Clearly he didnt meet them and therefore didnt get a game. On those occasions where he did get a change, again he wasnt great and most likely failed to achieve the goals set in place by the coaching staff.

Is there a source for this?
If so please quote it THATSGOLD

Or relabel thread as 'Rumour'
Read an article Brett Anderson well respected journalists wrote, he was linked to Melbourne today. I'll find it later and post the link.

1. Where is your source for this?

2. What has Chris Dawes achieved that makes him such a loss?

3. It took Wellingham a change of scenery and 2 more years of very mediocre and inconsistent footy for him to turn into a decent player. (and even now - after one good season, still has a long way to go to show he can do that consistently). He was not gonna do that without a change, and people like yourself would've calling for his head multiple times over the last 3 years.

4. Try and sincerely say 1 thing positive about the club - I dare you. If you can't do that, maybe its time to take a break from footy, or start supporting someone else.

5. And even if Kennedy is going - if it is in a trade for Howe, or part of a trade for Treloar or Aish - I would take that upgrade any day of the week.

That has been taken into account. I was polite.

I'm a bit mystified about the way the club has treated Kennedy compared to some others. I thought rebuilds were all about giving guys like him some consistent game time and just sucking up the crap such youngsters can produce. But he has just never been given any of the leeway you expect with young developing players. He's never really been given the chance to settle and feel safe and build some confidence in the team. He's either been in as sub (usually as injury cover), then out; or in and doesn't perform greatly so immediately out again. Compare this with the patience we've shown with some other players (eg Taylor Adams's first year) and it seems like a strange approach we've taken to developing him considering what we've been trying to do here. Especially also considering the continuing patience and faith shown with the very limited Blair.
