I realise its a day or two away, but am heading there and wouldnt mind some peoples tips if they have any.

I am familiar with the melbourne horses but many of these are unknowns and the first few are maidens without trials so any info someone may have would be great otherwise its pretty much a raffle or prefered trainer!

Early thoughts are I like Danzylum in the 9th after beating Daintree duke on cup day, still doing the form on the others, any info/opinions would be great :thumbsu:

Imvula will be tough to beat if it gets a good run.
Bananaman looks to be hitting fitness and form - not sure it will back up again though?
Saddlers Story to round out the chances.

New Zabeel filly called Zabibi is starting for Danny O'Brien in the 3rd.
Happy Tumbler in the 4th - lock it in.
Meld in the 5th with Rodd aboard looks too good.
In the 9th a couple of Zabeels resuming for Lloyd, Illustration being the best of them - big watch on betting!
Hezabruiser in the last - Apache Cats mate.

Fine weather is expected, last year it was the same and everything won from the front just about.

Also think Imvula looks the goods in the cup if it can work across from barrier 11, Bananaman ran a nice 3rd saturday and as you said may be accessed if it will back up.

How do Zabeel filly's generally go first up, the first few races might be wide open betting races with lots of unknowns.

The 9th will be very interesing, there are 3 i noticed returning from very long spells who performed well last preperation, then there is Danzaylum who has good form and maybe a fitness edge?

Hezabruiser looks to fly first up as does Apache Cat, or will we see a repeat of saturday!!

Yeah I will probably be putting something on Bananaman again, ran well at Flem and hopefully I can get some decent odds for it.Captious has done nothing this time around, I keep waiting for it to pick some form up again but it doesn't seem to be happening.

Bananaman has opened at $5 fixed through the tab, might get better on track?

I will probably place my quaddie and multiples on the morning to save me time at the track.

Do people tend to wait and observe track bias etc before putting on there quaddie etc later on in the day?

Gday mate im working at the cup tomorrow the track is looking perfect and i doubt if there will be a huge bias but u never no with race tracks, but it looks as tho it will play even. Also Imvula looks unbeatable on its last run.

Thanks for the info mate, hopefully a good day ahead tomorrow, just need to get my exam over with this afternoon, then will do the form some more!

I just spoke with a mate of mine who works for Snowden and he said Snowden has tipped him Imvula with alot of confidence, now i know most would say there horses are a big chance but he said he was pretty sure in the way he said it.

In saying all that i was on it anyway after its last run ha ha

My early quaddie numbers for tomorrow are

2,3,4 / 8,10,11 / 1,5,6 / 2,6,12

In the 3rd leg, a big watch on the two Sadler runners returning from very long spells (110 & 83 weeks). Danzylum is the one to beat on his Cup Day run, but I will go wider to include the Sadler duo.

Quaddie at this stage,

1,2,3,4 / 8,10,11,16 / 2,5,6 / 2,4,8,9,12 = 240 Combinations

Will try and cut it down a bit before tomorrow, anyone's thoughts of inclusions or omissions welcome!

Steve Moran said on Sport 927 last week they asked every trainer for their best of the day, Snowden said he had 3 for the week, 3 wins and said all 3 would not get beat.

I like the Danny O'Brien trained Fairy Tale in race 5. Hopefully she is wound up a bit and ready for a big first up run, will get a good sit on the rails and hopefully run over the leaders.

I am starting to really get on to the Snowden bandwagon, always suspected he was a handy operator behind Hawkes but he is really starting to get some big results.
Imvula FWIW was $4.20 when I looked last night and is in to $3.50 tonight, then $3.40 again when I checked a few mins ago. Gallic was $2 when it won 2 years ago and I think this might be as good a bet,
He also had a winner at Seymour today, looked beaten at the turn but the breeding/polish/training seemed to get it to the post.

I saw it was $4.20 into $3.50, but that was on the back of Testa Grange scratching so may not have been back in as much as it seemed, but im definately in two minds, back it now at $3.40, or wait to try and get it on track tomorrow better? Thoughts?

His first starter with Rodd on it looks a threat to Happy Tumbler, that looks like a interesting betting race with Sunburnt Lands stablemate looking ok also!

IMO you should be able to get a bit better on track tomorrow.. I could be wrong :D

If you're gonna back it, back it top fluct tonight or first thing in the morning

Race 1
No bet, 2 year old race with all first starters, no barrier trials and all top trainers.
Watch market

Race 2
Liking Deedra here, first up for the Williams stable after C. Conners trained it for its first start. Ran 5th over 1350 after missing the start, first up over 1600 here. Zabeel out of a Danehill mare. (side note, the number 2 is Double O Seven)

Race 3
Pretty good maiden here, thinking that Brand New Pair might be the one to beat. 2 starts to date have been very good, beaten 2 lengths by Palm Trilogy at his first start when got back in a very slowly ran race, First up from a spell. Market watch on the bottom weight.

Race 4
Don’t really like this race, but think it’s a race in 2, Happy Tumbler & Drifting Spirit look to have the best form. Kriegspiel is a watch, but the top 2 look the best of a weakish bunch.

Race 5
Rock Home Late won 2 in a row back from a spell before going to Geelong on Cup day and pulling hard when 7th in good form race. Superzeel pushed him out of the way and dropped him back a length or 2 and stated to pull, got tired over the last 300, back in dist and down in grade.

Race 6
LÁmi Louis flew home on that Ballarat track out wide when they mowed the inside part of the track. Then went to Sale and bolted in by 2 lengths. Only worry is Samburu Warrior if all is right after its first up flop, has form around Dandaad who won on Cup day and ran in the Geelong Cup.

Race 7
Like The Sunshine Man, got too far back at Cranbourne in what has turned out to be a good form race before going to Geelong on Werribee Cup Day and winning. Form in Queensland good before that.
Race 8 – The Cup
The rave is all about Imvula here but it’ll be stuck wide again so I think the under-rated Courtney might be better value. Went back and then got stuck wide cup day, had to make a run from the 1000 and took the winner into the race. Drops back to 2400 and should be right in the finish.

Race 9
Cognac Bay each way here, jumped poorly last start in a very good race, made up good ground on the inside that may have been off late in the day. Drawn near the outside but will go back a bit and should get a nice run, Danzylum will lead but there’s a bit of pace in this race so thinking something might come from back in the field.

Race 10
Don’t want a bet here at all, but if I have to, something each way on Crepes

Best Bet:
Race 6 Number 5: LÁmi Louis
Best Each-way:
Race 2 Number 6: Deedra

Race 9 Number 10: Cognac Bay

Holy crap that Deedra will be a star on breeding.

Us Zabeel fans will have fun tomorrow - who knows one of them could be the next Maldivian, Efficient or Gallic ;) World record amount of them running it seems
