What do you want the commission to do?
In my opinion Roota there isn’t much they can do now other than strip the points and salary cap right back for the top teams to give the bottom teams some sort of hope I’m sure I posted something about this a few weeks ago the commission need to decide if they want to try and even things up which would come at the expense of the quality of the top teams or let the good always be good and the bad always be bad with the odd actually very odd season where one of the bottom teams surprises or a top team drops.
What are your thoughts on what they should do? Genuine question I’m not trying to be a smart alec.

I agree there isn’t much that league administrators can do. My opinion is and has been for a long time now is tbat there are too many football clubs competing for a diminishing number of players.

Clubs need to be far more relistic and proactive in terms of mergers otherwise natural attrition needs to take affect.

That may sound harsh but clubs have folded in the past and unfortunately it will continue to happen. Some can’t be saved from the outside

It is what it is - when Echuca / moama / Rochester come into the comp it will then be a premier comp. At the moment it’s an ordinary comp with some premier clubs in it

Put down the pipe Crazymaggy2020

That’s nearly a Crazymaggy76 post

It's interesting bendigo footy in all 3 comps, there's a trend happening especially after the introduction of under 18s in the lower comps, the teams based out of bendigo are generally strong in 3rds and reserves and the smaller community clubs can't compete.

White Hills, marong and North bendigo could all in time be strong in the bfl or stronger than Maryborough, castelmaine and flat at present. I'd think Maiden gully and huntly could follow.

I'm not sure how much longer your colbos and lockys and leitchys will keep their footy factories going where they just keep pumping out multi-generational talent

Looking at this years results across all grades.
Colbo have certainly hit the wall

If you have small population / low junior numbers and you are competing in a good comp - you are up for $300k plus a year to put a senior side on the park - it sounds crazy but that’s reality I recon - @postpadding will probably say every club is under the cap and this is a joke

Very humerous 😂

Can anyone confirm last night at the Kyneton public meeting, it was a landslide vote in which league they want the club to be at in 2024.

I’m hearing 95% which is massive, if true.
And which league did the members choose then?

Very very interesting today - BFNL has been getting smashed in media about the lack of equalisation in the comp.

So their team comes out “under instruction” and gives the Maine a nice respectful defeat - it’s absolutely laughable

Pretty disrespectful comment towards a group of young blokes who have improved enormously all year and competed hard yesterday.

Sandhurst might have had a couple out but the game was a good hard contest, as usual it was only not being able to put together 4 quarters that cost the Pies.

The improvement on and off field has been enormous and should be lauded! All of this around the most horrendous circumstances. For mine it's the club of the year in country footy. Not enough credit for what they have done.

I know it's a few days old but Bourkey at the Addy sez he was waiting for the Sat. Addy to publish his 2 page tribute to Brian Walsh.

A lot of you probably already know that heaps of old folks don't have access to computerised news. Or even know how to log on to a laptop, iPad or desk top.

So he held it over to the Saturday edition, the best read Addy each week. Did you blokes know Walshy had a brain tumour ?

And Forest End. Am I reading you correctly ?? The Hurst-Maine match a good hard contest ??

It was dreary, humdrum Aussie Rules footy.

Yes you are, it doesn’t have to be pretty to be a good contest.

One thing our boys do most weeks is crack in and tackle and pressure well.

They might be outmatched every week in skill and size and get torn open on the outside, but they play in and under as well as just about anyone in the competition.

More chance of Kyneton and Gisborne leaving than that happening.

Dont know what youre drinking but I could do with some of it….

Announcement re Kyneton coming early as this week.
Decision is made, and players fully on board with the decision. In particular all the local players…………..

Thats sad about Kyneton. As I have asked before in this forum, why did Chapman leave and why didnt he bring some good players with him to Kyneton. I would have thought he would have connections and being a high ex profile AFL player he would have had some pulling power to attract good players.
The club must have money as they have cleared the debt they had. So would huntley and manuel go to a league which is not as strong or would they go to gisborne etc
