Huge crowd, and cars were parked on Stathfiieldsaye Road... Great standard of footy....Huge Crowd……..
You’re joking arnt you?
One of few games being played in the region and it was boarderline embarrassing the crowd.
Strath very competitive! But still a long way off
Their time will come crazy. I thought they went well today also. Gissy just had a bit to much class in the end and the Maggie's ran out of steam. My boys great 3 quarters against gizzy - good crowd at camp

Danny and Judith Hall.. both Life Members of SandhurstBig crowd, great game and a fitting tribute to a great country footy person.
Couldn’t ask for much more from a day at the country footy
So its the AFLs fault 3 of your ex juniors find playing footy at Gisborne more enjoyable than playing with you? Dont exactly why you blame them.Massive crowd at the Camp for another great day.
It’s going to go down as a year of nearlys for us unfortunately, another one we were right in and faded in the last.
By the way, for the first time in history, maybe in BFL history, the Magpies used all their points yesterday.
Gisborne on the other hand had 11 up their sleeve despite having three Castlemaine juniors on the field.
Well done AFL Vic, you really are a pack of knobheads.

Current occurrence in the days of permits when leagues had byesI’ll correct myself. He didn’t play 2 games today due to the forfeit. He did get credited with playing 2’s though as happens when there is a forfeit. Still, not sure I’ve seen an opposition player fill in for a senior game before. Not in a supposed major league, may have happened in some minor leagues.
Gisborne had 16 1 point players. Seem to produce good juniors and they are keen on sticking around. Good on them, that’s what makes them a good side. I wouldn’t say they have raided you blokes at all, they got Blake 5 years ago and now the brothers who he’s good mates with. Maybe should focus on why these blokes don’t want to play at the Maine rather than blame gisborne or the system. It’s got nothing to do with individuals, it’s the system.
You don’t see a problem when a weak club maxes out and a strong club who has raided their playing stocks has plenty spare?
Edit: make that maxes out but is still not competitive
Good to see some positivity on here for once! The margin didn’t reflect the overall contest but Sandhurst too good.
A great game of major league footy with so many high level players doing their thing. It really was a great game.
HUGE crowd to see a top echelon game
Not sure whether this is a good news or bad news story. An Eaglehawk 2’s player was forced to back up playing a second game today. I’ve seen it happen before, but never for the player to switch teams and play seniors for the opposition.
Got more to do with YOUR club than any supposed system which doesnt force anyone to play at any particular club. Time to change the coffee at Castlemaine it must be very bitter. More of the same whinging, poor us metality isnt going to win games of footy. It’s got nothing to do with individuals, it’s the system.

Why did you max out, played a kid from Kilmore as a 5, ex AFL player as a 5 if both dont play next week and if you replace them with 2 1s from the seconds you back to 38. How many games do Jetta and Eyre play with you? It’s got nothing to do with individuals, it’s the system.

Judging by slags record in all grades over the last 10 years, I’d say not. I don’t claim to know what goes on at the Maine but I’d guess there is a good reason why Blake isn’t playing there, especially after a few of his best mates are there this year. On the points system, if you play ex afl and vfl players with no prior time at the club, the points dry up quickly. Nothing wrong with doing that either but now sure what the issue isOne of them left Sandhurst, must be culture issues there as well I suppose.
You would have to be an AFL CV employee.
No one could argue that situation is anything other than the antithesis of the intention of the points system.
It is a perfect example of an abject failure of policy and it’s ridiculous to suggest otherwise.
Players playing one offs in different leagues is becoming common, but not within the same league.Current occurrence in the days of permits when leagues had byes
Ha ha definitely some AFLVIC staff on here this morning trying to defend the indefensible
Another round next week of a dogshit comp continues
