but geelong are starting to put in some 4 qtr efforts and hit another gear

Surely that means Geelong are the best team. As you mentioned, Bulldogs and Hawthorn are more "in it" at the moment, but yet which team is currently on top of the ladder?

I saw glimpses of our 2007 form on Sunday, which suggests to me Geelong are just starting to warm up. Once Ottens gets more match fitness, Bartel gets over his niggling injuries and Scarlett comes back, then look out!

earlier on in the season Geelong were playing bad, and got thumped by collingwood! Where as Hawthorn and Bulldogs were constantly doing well. However I agree with you that Geelong did play well on Sunday, but don't forget it was against Port. We'll have to see these upcoming rounds on Geelong's form.

So far this year i would say the bulldogs have been the best team.

They have beaten Hawthorn(Tassie),Adelaide(Telstra) and Sydney(SCG). Not a bad effort at all. Round 16 Dogs vs Cats will decide.
