Righto fellow Tigers. 2007. Let's assume we have a great run with injuries and our kids progress as we expect. Where do we finish? In my opinion we need outstanding years from the usual suspects- Richardson, Brown, Johnson, Coughlan. We need Newman to recover, someone to deperately stand up in the key back department- Gaspar, Hall, Thursfield (when back), Polak. We need Deledio, Tambling, Polo, Foley, Meyer etc to get better again. Finally we need the big fella Simmonds to have another year like 2006. 40-50 from Kent would be very nice. I am a realist and respect the depth of the comp but truly believe we can get a 6-8 spot. Thoughts?

If that all happens we will win 13-15 games and be top 4. But realistically simmonds will struggle now I think. Cog's and newman might too.

if we dont make the 8 this year then we fail. simple as that, when you consider our injuries last year and then getting 11 wins with a tough draw.

We should play finals but don't ecpect to do anything there.

It'll be great experience for our younger crop

i expect our team to make the 8 and if we get in too fight like hell. If we go down in the finals fighting its a success. If not it is a complete and utter failure.

As I posted, 6-8 is our go. We are not a top 4 side yet. We have a fair way to go to match West Coast, Adelaide, Sydney, St.Kilda and I believe we are a rung below Fremantle and Melbourne. The rest we can more than compete with. I reckon we're in the mix with the Dogs, Collingwood, Geelong, Hawthorn, Port and a rung above the rest. I expect Essendon to challenge heavily this year. I dismiss Kangaroos, Carlton and am unsure of the Lions.
