I have chosen who I reckon are the top 10 players from the 2000 draft.

Who is the best player from this draft and in what order would you draft them knowing what you know today?

To eliminate bias - only vote for a player NOT from your team.

Reiwoldt gets the nod for me because of his size, but only just. Burgoyne is an absolute gun.

I would draft them like this:

1. Reiwoldt
2. Burgoyne
3. Kerr
4. Charman
5. Didak
6. Williams
7. Kositchzke
8. Johncock
9. Cross
10. McPhee

If I had draft them today, I'd do it in this order

1: Kerr
2: Reiwoldt
3: Burgoyne
4: Cross
5: Didak
6: Williams
7: Johncock
8: Charman
9: McPhee
10: Kosi

To add to North's current side:

1) Reiwoldt
2) Burgyone
3) Kerr
4) Didak
5) Johncock
6) Williams
7) Charman
8) Kosi
9) Cross

Surely there is a better footballer from this year than McPhee?

kerr is a gun and all, but you would take the star CHF then the star midfielder

Is Riewoldt really a star CHF though. I think at this time Kerr has shown more in his career then Riewoldt.

How about Kayne Pettifer??

He is an absolute gun and should be pushing for AA selection next year on a HFF.

Pick 9 in the 2000 draft.

Pettifer? You are joking I suspect. Average, but has improved from just below average. A no-impact player. Pick 9 !!!!. Just pencil that one down on the Tiges growing list of draft mishaps. It's almost as though the Tiges don't ever want to progress beyond 9th. A comfort zone perhaps. :)

McPhee is OK.

Daniel Harris is better, but I was trying to display a lack of bias.

Hahah no impact? Pettifer has won more games off his own boot than any Carlton player drafted in 2000 :P

Petts is very underrated and is a quality player.

Kane Cornes is missing from this list.

...Petts is very underrated and is a quality player.

Hilarious. Next you'll be calling Ray Hall, Tivendale and Kent Kingsley AA selections. The more I look at the Tiges list, the more I realise what a complete disaster your list management has been over the past 5 years or so. There's a reason for your 25 years of mediocrity - it ain't no accident. Big changes need to take place at Tigerland if you guys are going to break the mid-ladder shackles. :)

the only game ive ever seen him actually play well in...he kicked a goal and about 5 points

Pettifer is a good and underrated player but not in the top 10 of this draft. Kane Cornes was a 2000 draft choice wasnt he. Surely he should be in this poll.

Yeah Cornes should be in there. Oversight.

Not a bad draft for the Power picking up Burgoyne and Cornes.

Cassisi as well. Probably our best draft really, particularly if you include trading. Offloaded pick (#4 Luke Livingston) and another late pick for Wakelin. Offloaded Matt Bode for #12 (Shaun Burgoyne). Golden.
