i am in the progress of creating a thread on the polls board asking the question " who is the best kick in the AFL", there will be 16 nominations, one from each club.

I am copy pasting this message on to each board letting the clubs supporters decide which player it will be from there club, after a agreement has been reached, or an anonymous ammount of support for one player has been established, once this is done on all 16 club boards, i will construct the thread.

your contributions and knowledge will be greatly appreciated.

cheers:thumbsu:

i reckon mundy is a fairly solid kick.(for general field kicking)
cant really judge his shot at goal.

also dont you guys think mcpharlin has the most unorthodox set-shot kicking style?
i cringe every time i see him kick! - although they usually go through tho

Hase is very accurate with his kicking, almost never misses a target, his length of kicking is only average for an AFL footballer ~50m

Otherwise definitely Pav, can kick a goal from the centre square also very accurate. Love it when he gathers the ball in the middle, palms off a player, and kicks it through from the square. He does that at least a couple of times a year.

Mundy or Headland??? Dont make me ****ing laugh. We never get to see either player kicking under pressure because they are both too busy racking up uncontested possessions and dogging challenges.

Blacky would have been our most penetrating kick.

I would say the honour now goes to Pavlich.

Get F***ed

Mundy would be the player i would have hitting a target for my life :thumbsu:

I'd say our best few are quite obvious, Pav, Headland, Mundy, Ibbo, Hase and Roger, after that kicking ability gets a bit thin to say the least with a few exceptions, I'd probably have them in that order too, I think Headland is a better kick than Mundy because he is a much better finisher from 50 and beyond IMO.

If you select Pavlich in the poll all non-Freo fans will remember will be his posters last year and he won't stand a chance although I personally think that he is the best kick in our side.

The question wasnt best kick 'under pressure' now was it GJ?

The best kicks in the side would be Mundy and Headland.

I agree with Mundy being the most precise kick, I also agree that he doesn't work hard enough to get the ball in the first place.

I think the most penetrating kick is Josh Head.

I was just going to throw Josh Heads name in too Dockersmad, he has a thumping kick but in a poll on the main board no-one would ever have heard of him.
Pav would be right up there but as Cica has said the only thing others will remember is his posters last year.
It depends what we are looking for depth, accuracy etc, for a combination of both Headland would have to be up there as well, he normally hits his target from long range into the fifty and Mundy is pretty similar.
Haselby, Hayden although generally accurate just don't have the distance.
If I had to pick one player to kick for goal from 50-60 out it would be Pav.

No one mentioned Kepler. He hasn't missed too many shots he had. He may look a bit awkward, our Goofy, but he kicks em truly. :thumbsu:

Pav and Headland are also very good.
