Cotchin > Dangerfield > Masten > Morton > Palmer > Myers

Pretty close. TBH i don't think much seperates the first three when you take injuries into account (not sure about Dangerfield but Cotchin and Masten have had injury plagued starts to their careers).

Putting Masten (and all injury concerns) aside i'd flip a coin between Cotchin and Dangerfield.

I'd agree with this. Cotchin has the ability to be elite, however i feel most of these players will be very highly rated in a few years time. Palmer is the underrated one, missing this season due to injury. He will be a gem as well. Class of 2007 is looking to be a good one :thumbsu:

agree, Palmer could be exactly what Fremantle need if he can fix his kicking (who knows what will happen there). If i was to make a bet right now i would go for dangerfield due to the risk factor but i could see palmer dominating like Ablett is now.

Myers will be an absolute gem. An inside midfielder who can hit a target 60m away = win.

Myers doesn't get rated by opposition supporters because we have hardly seen him.. plus the fact that most of the others are already regularly getting a game at AFL level. From all reports Myers will be a very good player.

As pointed out this class of mids should do really well.

Once Morton puts on enough weight (any weight would be nice Cale) he will be a very good player. 191 + cm with elite disposal who can run all day. I couldn't say he'll become the best pure midfielder out of the group you mentioned though.

I'd say he will be a regular next year. Another year in the gym will see him even more ready for this role. He played a few games this year off the HBF but really didn't do much as his body isn't suited to that role.

I think you've got a fairly broad definition of the word elite

From what I have seen Myers is too slow and his awareness is average. The amount of times he gets caught with the ball!!

Will be happy to be proved wrong.

I may be biased but Danger has the most upside. He is already a contested possesion machine with great core strength already. He has amazing speed and can also play forward with very strong hands

Whilst Dangerfield has a lot of upside, Morton clearly has more. He is just one of those prospects which recruiters drool over, unless of course they are fixated on a player who works in their merchandise store :D

Myers, Houli, Zaharakis, Reimers all elite users of the ball. Thank god the Bomber recruiters have changed their ways because nothing frustrates me more than turnovers.

They said the same thing about Justin Westhoff, some people just don't put on weight.

Anyway what happened to Cotchin this year, he seemed to take a bit of a backwards step to where he was at last year.

Was he just getting over the injury at the start of the year?

This. Although you could possibly switch Cotch and Dangerfield or Morton and Palmer.

He was recovering from an Achilles injury and then he got re-injured late in the year(not 100% sure what happened the second time). Will probably start preseason a little later than the rest of the team but should be fit for round 1 (I hope).

He took a couple of games to warm up this year but he was very good in the games he played. Averaged 18 disposals up from 16.5 last year and was very classy.

Injured his achilles during the preseason and had only just got back for Rd. 8 and then injured his hip in Rd. 12.

He'll be fine, a lot of players have speed issues when they start to put on muscle and weight. He is an inside midfielder and his awareness is actually pretty darn good.

obviously picked Morton but I don't know if he is classified in the same mould as the others, apart from running round the wings he will play as a forward a bit and also do jobs on blokes in defence the way Bruce does now.. I'd classify him more as utility but one who obviously has the ability to rank up huge numbers. One thing is for sure and that is he will be a very difficult matchup, he has speed, height, endurance, awareness, vision and agility. Very versatile player which is the type of player Bailey is looking for ie Jack Watts. Has only missed 3 games in his first two years and his consistency is very good. Furthermore I reckon he is one of those players that will really shine when he has a proper team around him, Moloney, Jones and Scully will need to do the really hard work for him. Disposal needs to improve though, except in front of goal where he is excellent, and I am not so sure he will ever become much bulkier, but I also don't think this will necessarily affect the way he goes about it.

Will be a great group of players in 3 years, I'd have to back Rodney after Cale
