LOL at Oakley-Hack having more votes than Brent Harvey. In reality there be votes for anyone but Gaz, except Pav and Harvey for their respective supporters.

Mighty tough one to pick, Pavlich by a full stop at the end of a sentence from Ablett and Harvey.

Until now of course!!

Gazza now has earned the right to be listed as the best current #29 in the comp, although longevity at this stage has Pav and Harvey right up there. A few more years of brilliance from Gaz could see even KB's status as probably the best #29 be usurped.

Pav by a country mile. If you put Ablett at Freo and Pav at Geelong, how many flags would each team have? Case closed.

Matthew Pavlich is comfortably ahead of Ablett. I don't care how badly the media and umps love golden boy Gary racking up the possessions through handball recieves instead of winning the hard ball, Pavlich is the most versatile player in the competition, being named AA at Full Back, Center Half Forward, Full Forward and numerous flanks and benches and along with that, Pavlich is also a great midfielder and has won games for Fremantle off his own boot. This alone makes him a MUCH better player than Ablett in my book.

Now I know some people will pick their own players no matter what but I mean there is a point. Which fellow Hawks fan picked Murphy?

That person who put that single vote deserves a card for blind stupidity :p:p:p.

Russell Greene

1 B&F (in a team with Matthews, Brereton, Tuck, Ayres, Wallace.....)

So the fact that Ablett had the most hard ball gets in the league, despite missing two games during the H&A season, means absolutely nothing?

Maybe if you watched a Geelong game without your obvious anti-Geelong bias once in a while, you might actually learn something.

For starters, stats mean absolute shit. I've watched a fair amount of Geelong games this year and Ablett rarely gets a good hardball and when he does, he never wins it, the umpire just ends up bouncing it. Thus in conclusion, Pavlich is a MUCH better footballer than Ablett. Even if Ablett has more ability in the Center, Pavlich's versatility stands far above anything Yablett can muster in the midfield.

Ablett missed 3 games in the H&A season. Get your facts straight!
