1. Tambo (I have a feeling about this kid and I couldn't care less what others may say. I'm looking forward to this season starting.)
2. Lids
3. Meyer
4. Foley / Polo / Raines / White / Howat / Hughes all about the same.

I don't know enough about the others to have an opinion.

(1) Lids & 'Son of Geoff'.....equal
(Both play different games, but both proactive, both penetrate the lines,
& both needed for a successful team)

(2) Apolo 13....
(Put in for my mate who just yells out '13' at Tiger games when he sees him...enuff said)

(3) Thursfield.....possibly a backline general ?

(4) 'Axel' Foley.....gotta love that cross between a footballing terrier
and a rat!

(5) Marty McGrath.....lol.....oh heck.....just for the fun of it.
Did we kidnap & bury him? What happened to Marty?
Marty !! Marty !! Where r u?....

:D

1- Raines

I think the blokes underated, he already plays with the maturaty of a 100 gamer, plenty of guts, silky skills, and that blistering run off the half back flank.. Awesome :D

2- Deledio

What more do I have to say... Complete package, has shown talent in every position hes been thrown in. Future Champion :)

3- Foley and Polo

Polo is all Class and I respect Foley for working his guts out week in week out, time should see him develop into a Workhourse through your mid section.

The one that interests me is how highly you all rate Tambling. From what Ive seen of him, and Im not a Richmond supporter and its just my opinion he seems a bit like another David Rodan:A glimmer of absolute brilliance here and there but mostly inconsistent. I dont rate him highly at the moment, would be interested for some Yellow and Black opinions on this?

If your rating them on how good i think they are going to be

1. Tambling
2. Deledio
3. Raines
4. Polo/Foley
5. Meyer/Oakley Nicholls

I think Jack Riewodlt could be special but he hasnt played yet so i will leave him out

That's a fair point.

Richard Tambling has not set the world on fire yet and it is perfectly reasonable to question why people rate him so highly. Personally I think he could be our best player in 3 years. Tiger fans who watch him closely at training and in matches are all convinced that he will be a star. He has shown glimpses of brilliance, yes, but what you don't see that we do see are the little things. For example, if he makes a blunder he doesn't hang his head and drop out of the game. His facial expression changes and he puts in 4th and 5th efforts and wins the hard ball and then doesn't make that same mistake again. This attitude is what will see him become more consistent and is what sets him apart from every other player who shows glimpses of brilliance because he is more than a one-trick-pony and once he comes of age (21... in 2008) he will be primed to tear teams apart in a way that would put a smile on Andrew McLeod's face.

Btw don't get sucked into the uneducation followers who say he is a FP player or a small crumbing forward like Krakouer. Blinger is one of our hardest trainers (in the top 6 for Terry's NAB Training Points system!) so it simply is a matter of time until he puts on the muscle and builds enough endurance to move permanently midfield.

Hope I cleared up some of your queries anyway :):thumbsu:

No doubt... Ive thoght for a whiel that given hsi natural play reading ability, his pace/agility and just that indigenous spark he would definatly be best suited to a roving role. Good points to.. I suppose i'll have to watch the bloke a little closer next year. :thumbsu:

good synopsis furs....theres no doubt he has the tools...mixed with the right attitude, he'll get to where he wants to be

On overall ability Deledio has to be #1 as he can do everything in football and play in every position bar Ruck and obviously Full Back.

1. Deledio
2. Raines
3. Foley
4. Tambling
5. Polo

Polo is better than Tambling at the moment though.

Point taken. I must admit a little bit of wishful thinking when I say he will be our best. We cop a bit of flack for picking him when we did so I REALLY want him to do well.

Even so, the young fella is an absolutely top bloke with a fantastic attitude. He has done enough and shown the odd flash of absolute brilliance and freakish skills to have me salivating on the side lines. I look at him and think, how good is this kid going to be once he builds a decent body and gets his confidence up? I've seen him at training this season and he has built himself up a fair bit. He's also training the house down. I am really looking forward to the season starting.

Look if he becomes a good player I'll be happy, he doesn't have to be our best. :)
