Joined in 2007 when we told the AFL to GAGF and changed our name back to North Melbourne. Had to join to troll the bay. We were playing prelims too at that stage so being as fair weathered as I am I was quite lippy and confident.

Now BF is more of a comforter for me. Like my teddy bear when my dad said good night and turned the bedroom light off.

April 12, 2003. I joined Big Footy so I could express my intense hatred of the crappy 'Kangaroos' version of our song that the club insisted on using. That was back in the day when some bright spark (and I use that term very loosely) thought it would be a good idea for the club to be known only as the Kangaroos (not North Melbourne). I was so happy when JB took over and reinstated the original North Melbourne version of the song and the club's traditional name.

2002. I'm old. I was even registered on Searching Kangaroo (credit to Dus for that) which was really active and saw the arrival of the Tashibatts era. Where for art thou Tashibatts? 'The Motlops are magic. Treasure the magic'.

If any youngster wants to see what this club is about, find a way to watch our game in round 1, 2002. Carey had just quit the club, Port were getting stronger and Stevo and Arch came out and made a hell of a statement in the twilight of the Pagan era. It was a special night. April 2011. Don’t really post that much especially the past few years but most days I have a quick look. I’ve kind of tuned out in recent times due to our complete shitness. Not letting a footy club control my emotional state. Sure I get angry, frustrated, sad, envious etc but as I’ve gotten older I refuse to stew about footy. Been a member for over 40 years, rarely miss games and will continue to do so. Hope is all we have left.

I'm not a frequent contributor, it took me 19½ years to reach 10,000 posts, but I have been more frequent over the last 5 years now that I live alone.

I first joined back in the early 2000s on the back of the Carey saga. Don’t remember my account, name or anything.
Mostly lurked for a couple of years before I got lost to footy for a few years and stuck into more important things, like the search for Mrs Dew.

Came back at the start of 2022 when I thought the wheel had turned, while the team didn’t give me the nourishment I needed, this place sure did!
