Been good to see some young talent coming through from the opposition this summer. Some better fielding from Pakistan and we might have proven the value of combining experience with youth.

Don't understand the criticism of the declaration - it brought a wicket. Or of Smith - you cannot count on getting a single off the last ball of every over and you do have to trust the tailender to block out one or two balls if needed.

Anyway, always great to see the underdog triumph and hopefully shakes off the complacency.

Wickets were taken with good balls as well so it wasn’t luck but talent that earned them

The critisism isnt valid is it? Amyone who declares a selection or a move as a failure after 1.5 tests has NFI.
I dont care if people think its the wrong move, thats valid and may turn out true but the early declarations have made all of those making them look the fools they are. If thats you, sorry you will need to deal with it.

There's a degree of being disappointed that we lost, but I'm honestly more happy for the Windies.

You can't expect WI players to turn down the T20 millions for tests when they get paid **** all for the latter, especially ones from poor areas like Shamar. It's on the rich countries like CA to help if we want more WI tours here.
