Wandered down to watch the Zebs today and must say I was SUPER IMPRESSED with Rhys Stanley. Moves beautifully and looks like a really good 200 cm utility in the making. Anyone else watched him?

he's probably already achieved more than what a huge % of draft picks as low as himself do simply putting in such great performances at VFL level so early in his career, great signs.

Great to see that we finally have some good young ruck stocks coming through in Big Mac and Stan, VFL experience will do them both good and will slot in nicley in the next year or two. Go the Saints!

And don't forget even Bigger Mac - he's a great athlete at 208cm and I'd expect him to make the main list in time. Noticed he was in the best again in the reserves and will get a chance with the Sandy seniors if Macca is promoted to cover Gardi.

He was first ruck for SA in the champs last year as an underage player.

He has a basketball background, but was a late convert to AFL. Had played very little footy until 2008. You could say smokey, but was always bound to land on a list somewhere.

Ran a sub 3 sec 20m which is excellent for someone who is 200cm - have seen him run down a couple of smaller players in the VFL. Not sure why he didn't test well in the standing/vertical leap, as he can jump. With a clear injury run in his early years he will be a good player.

The AFL's draft tipster had him going to the Lions at pick 41, and would not get past Collingwood at picks 45 & 46 - thankfully he squeezed past!

Hard to complain at the minute. Rhys has been in the best 3 times in his last 4 games.

With 15 guys - including two rookies - playing VFL seniors (of the 22) and a rookie in the AFL, it's pretty hard to complain.

Luke Miles has been emergency a couple of times. Simpkin seems to be able to get a kick in the seniors (he's very light though). Sam McGarry has been best player in the ressies in his last 2 hit-outs and Ooh Aah has been in the best 4 times. Ross Tunga's kicked a few.

Probably LJ slipping back to the ressies is a bit disappointing (going to struggle to stay on the list?) and Howard has slipped back too. Big Harry's only kicked 5 goals for the season in the ressies (but not sure where he is being played - maybe he's in the ruck nowadays).
