Big trades for brighter future

We are not getting pick 3.

In fact, it is most likely that we will not make a genuine trade during trade week at all (with the exception of possibly moving on players who would otherwise be delisted for draft picks would will not end up using.)

I would like to package up pick 14 and Goldsack or pick 14 and Toovey and see who bites. I also want a player, not a draft pick.

I agree with ya. Clubs don't part with top 3 picks these days unless they've got a spare and its a Judd level player being gained. I think shopping around pick 14 with a young player (say: Goldsack/Wellingham) to see what we can potentially pick up is the way to go. What we really need is more firepower, but I don't think we've got enough to play with that isn't going to be a case of robbing peter to pay paul to get the calibre player we need in our deficiencies.

14, Leon and Rusling for Seaby and Kerr. We can include fat Cox in the trade in case they want a downgrade on Wirrapunda.

what the thinking of a Tuck and Couglan if injury free. and maybe a line out to a david armitage from saints for full time duties.

I mentioned Jordan Lewis. He is supposedly one that Hawthorn intrested in seeing what he attracts what do people think will get the job done there and would people be keen on getting him?

He's an interesting one. Personally I think he's a sniper.

He does have good skills but appears to play a mainly outside game. Does get alot of the footy and he is competing with Mitchell & Sewell for the inside role. Slow for an outside midfielder.

Not overly interested. We need a pure inside mid.

Guys like Daniel Kerr (not on table) or Brock McLean (don't know availability)

Why is it that everyone is so keen to ditch Goldsack or Wellingham?

Very difficult to have a player prove his worth with sporadic appearances in the seniors.

Jordan Lewis is exactly the type of player that we need . He is just about worthy of our first round pick IMO. I do realise that key forward is our main priority but someone will need to protect our young mids while they are developing .

We have already got the inside mid we need.
He is currently playing in our reserves side and waiting to be elevated his name is BLAIR.

Forget Kerr,and Deledio.

If we make a play for someone it should be ROUGHEAD !

This is not about trading someone who has no worth, this is the opposite - about trading someone who HAS worth, but in a position that we have in abundance (ie Goldsack). That way, we may get someone of worth in return.

There is no point expecting trades for players who have no worth.

Does anybody else think that Brock McLean would have been a great addition to our midfield.

Aside from some injury issues, IMO he would have been that hardnut Inside Mid which we are really lacking. He struggles with a tag but with Swan/Pendlebury/Didak/Davis in our team he would never get tagged.

Can't help but think the bluebaggers have gotten another 1 over us, and they dont even really need him either which disapoints me.

Anyway just my thoughts, blues gave away pick 11 for him so our 14 wouldnt have been far of the mark.

DAMN

They need him as much as us

Aprt from judd who isnt as inside as he used to be they dont have any real hard nut bulldozer mids except bentick who is rubbish

I guess Carlton do!!

But would have been a perfect fit here in pie land.

Nick Stevens may be shown the door aparently, it really makes me wonder what we could have done with him.

MM would have got the best out of him and would have been an absolute gem for us. I cant help but think that the bluebaggers have destroyed him.

Why don't we secure big names like this?

Are we really that bad that know one wants to be part of this club?

I'm getting really disalusioned by all this.

Tall poppy syndrome. No one wants to deal with us as no one wants Eddie to succeed. It's a disgrace.
Despite all he has done I think it's time Eddie steps back into the shadows and let's someone else take the rains and he be the puppet master.
