I had a bit of a Mandela Effect with Bob Newhart. For many years I thought that Newhart played the role of Police Chief Logan, Ted and Deacon's authoritarian father, in the 'Bill and Ted' movies. It wasn't until I saw 'Bill and Ted Face the Music' in 2020 that I realized he was in fact played by Hal Landon Junior.

Damn, just watched him in a fantastic Alfred Hitchcock Hour episode (How to get rid of your wife) which like the best of Hitchcock has a bitterly ironic ending.

Also loved him in Elf, my favourite Chrisso Movie.

Man what a career he had. A true acting icon/legend.
