But I will listen to Thulcandra now to check them out.
I like it a lot.
From my hometown:
Sorry did not see this one - Schauermann is (as always) right on the money!

Odd band but love Belphegor, but I'm still undecided about their new album though.
However, I'm ******* loving the new Winterfylleth album, it's sure hitting the spot. Could be album of the year material for me. They never cease to amaze me with each of their 4 albums.
I've been out of touch with new releases in about 3 years! This thread is handy since I can't be stuffed doing the footwork anymore. So much stuff is samey samey and I'm pretty happy with the classics. I don't I have got a new release since Tribulation - The Horror and Ketzer - Satan's Boundaries Unchained came out..

No love for Sacramentum's "Far Away from the Sun"??
it's albums like that which make me miss playing in bands. Not enough mention of Tribulation's "The Horror" on this thread. What an album....the follow up I did not really enjoy though.
Well I had no idea about Ophis.
Do like a lot of death/doom with Saturnus' "Veronica Decides to Die" and "Paradise Belongs to You" probably being my favorite of the bunch. Have a real soft spot for Rapture (Futile and Songs for the Withering in particular); Slumber's only album "Distress" is massive; Imindain's "And the Living Shall Envy the Dead" etc. . Hooded Menace, Atraxie, October Tide, early Draconian..stuff like that with an emphasis on melody I spose.
Listening to a lot of these guys lately, gearing up for their new album later this month.

They still have a couple of guys from Nazxul from memory, drummer, guitarist and possibly even another. As well as ex creator and arguably the brains of Perth's Wardaemonic now with them too.Didn't even know they were still around. Played a show with them in Sydney about 8 or 9 years ago when they had Azgorh and I think a couple dudes from Nazxul. Still have an Embrace After Death shirt somewhere![]()

Now listening to Faal - The Clouds Are Burning. Dutch Funeral Doom.

Gorefest!I've never actually heard of a Dutch metal band. Bizarre considering they are neighbours to Germany.
Well besides light stuff like Epica and Within Temptation![]()
Pestilence is an intriguing mixture of death and thrash metal. Closest I can describe it as is an amalgamation of Slayer and Death.
Gorefest goes down all right too.
Dutch bands should be the theme of the week ,
Malleus Maleficarum is the only Pestilence I like. Subordinate to the Domination is a ripper tune.
