Love Hang ‘em High.

I’m done with Bundy. Just an unlikeable guy really.

I'm fascinated by the concept of ASPD, because it's so foreign to how the majority of us define our humanity. I read up a lot on it to try to get some understanding of how people like that think and feel, and consider if there's any treatment (sometimes I wonder if there's a part of them missing, that while they may be Homo Sapiens, they may not be human).

I've been reading Dr Robert D. Hare's Without Conscience lately, and while it's an old book (early 90s) it's quite informative, and has told me a lot about the shallow emotional life of the psychopath, and their lack of ability to understand, perhaps than a total disregard, of societal norms. One impression I get, and though I am yet to have children I do have plenty of younger relatives to draw upon for this, is that the psychopath resembles a three year old who has just learnt how to lie in their attempts at blame shifting and inability to take responsibility for their actions, but without that natural affection that the normal three year old shows to their loved ones, which does give birth to the standard sulkiness after getting into trouble, which is really the beginnings of the ability to express guilt and remorse.

I watched Bundy's final interview on youtube the other day. He was about to be put to death, and though I am personally against the death penalty he really does challenge my convictions, and instead of acknowledging the impact of his crimes, he shifts the blame. To pornography, of all things. And tries to cast himself as a moral crusader, in stating that pornography will produce more Ted Bundys. The lack of insight and ability to self-reflect even in his final hours...I don't know what to think.

Dee Snider I have been told that last night's Dee Snider setlist is pretty much the following -

https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/dee-snider/2018/lahtihalli-lahti-finland-1b94b1c0.html

A letdown to be honest. Getting songs from that recent album like American Made and I Am The Hurricane rather than Shoot 'Em Down, Sin After Sin, The Kids Are Back, I Am (I'm Me), SMF etc. Don't need the non TS cover songs either. Given TS only came here in 85 and that he didn't write the new songs, I thought we'd get something like that live cd.

I can see what he’s trying to do but might have overestimated the number of people there to hear the new stuff.

The only Widowmaker song I want to hear is The Iron Road.

Given the songs omitted, wtf including a cover song? And a ‘been done 1,000 times before and don’t need to hear it again’ song at that.

Kill of Be Killed would fit well with his current album. And all those classics you’ve highlighted. Real shame if that’s the set list.

Look at the encore. If I was in the city and wanted to beat traffic etc I'd do a runner before it started. Just listened to American Made and I Am The Hurricane over coffee. Geez feeling flat. Encore should be bona fide TS classics and finishing with SMF.

Yeah 100% spot on re-encore.

SMF is mandatory. He’ll call the crowd a bunch of SMFs all night - can’t then not produce the song.

Shoot em Down mandatory too.

Where’s Destroyer?

I think he’ll give us a bit more than that (underwhelming) setlist.

One of the guys at work seems to be doing the Destroyer intro everytime he's taking a dump in the office toilet. Let's wait and see. Surely there will be more.

I watched the Bundy tapes too and the most surprising thing to me was that he was waiting for the electric chair for 10 years. It was only at the very end when he was sentenced to death without a hope of appeal that he confessed to everything. How crazy that must have been for everyone affected by his crimes to be waiting that long for him to be put to death.

Pro death penalty or not, that's a really inefficient process. The only positive to come out of having someone on death row for such a long amount of time is if some new evidence comes out to prove their innocence.

10 years is quick.

Israel Keyes. Look him up. FBI suppressed just about everything about him (in a deal with him as he didn’t want the publicity and to protect his daughter). One of the most calculated, cunning, ruthless and cold blooded serial killers you’ll ever hear about.

There’s a 5-6 part podcast on him (Apple Podcasts) now a Judge has started lifting the suppression orders on him. His interviews are chilling.

This is a guy who planted ‘murder kits’ across the country to be used at a later date. Sometimes years later he’d travel to the location interstate, dig them up and then go looking for someone to kill. Frightening individual.

Killed himself before trial. Think he was 34 years old. Admitted to 11 murders but estimates are 2-3 times that. Claimed he’d only confirm details of the 11 because they’d be discovered in time anyway. The ‘others’ would never be discovered so he didn’t intend talking about them.

Onto Commando and The Predator tonight? The Running Man to follow...
Nah, catch up with mates n watch the Victory game, then hit a bar/club in town.
I watched Commando on BR recently, not the greatest film ever made but showcases some creative carnage. It's good watching some of the old ones in FHD, great to see actual explosions, etc, instead of today's CGI crap

Deathevocation - have you confirmed your t-shirt of choice for tonight? Think I’ll be in the Coroner shirt. Or Vinnie Vincent. Decisions decisions......

Likely Morbid Angel 'Euro Madness 89'. Will keep an eye out.
