I agree the contested possessions and clearances were a (the?) big problem last time, but I'd say its rare that a hard physical tag brings the contested footy back in your favour.

I'd say it's the outside players who are susceptible to being shut out with a hard tag. Like Johannisen.

A lot of inside players just get better and better the more physicality the opposition throw at them. Like Selwood. I wouldn't just let him do whatever, but I would not poke the bear.

Ditto Dusty. I hope like crazy that the Cats go after Dusty with a close, annoying physical tag. It worked really well for Brisbane...
