Cracking interview with Ange on the overlap podcast
Just watched the whole thing, Ange seems like he's got more power in his words than Conte's whining. Ange saying facts and backing up with stories says it all

Found it very interesting that he said he new he was gone by January/Feb. So he really did give up on the prem for Europe.

This is the biggest mistake spurs have made since sacking poch

Really can't get my head around where we go next with the relegation battle on our hands

Realistically the only permanent manager out there that also has enough about them to keep us up is Xavi.

Don't think your Keane's or Kim Hellberg or Knutsen are safe enough to ensure we stay up. And dont think guys like Silva, Iraola or Farioli leave their current roles for us instantly.

Is it a Van Gaal or Sherwood with Poch lined up. Neither guarantees survival. Is it Heitenga with a summer permanent? Again dont think thats enough to keep us up comfortably.

What an interesting time for the club!

I dont know if its the Aussie connection that is hitting harder but feels like the message he is sending up the line at Hotspur Way is piercing through whatever Armour they usually have,

It is scathing with only the most idiotic of pundits pouring on Ange for the messaging. Agree that this is the worst decision we've made since Poch.

(funny that Poch got us close to UCL, not backed properly, sacked. Ange won us a trophy, not backed properly, sacked)

we really are ****ed. Go a stop-gap for Poch and risk going down or go with a stable hand with a longer game plan in play.

this. ****ing. club

If we were to go down I could only see the following managers consider taking the job in the summer

Robbie Keane
McKenna
Poch

Feels funny even talking about it considering how close we were to CL football in Ange first season and actually making it this season. And how regularly poch had us there.

If Tottenham go down poch ain't joining lol

If it was agreed with him to join and we go down an interim path and they took us down you'd have to get some assurances he still joins
He said he wants to win the Prem, is spurs to down that leaves like 6-7 year minimum before they'd be able to win it at best. He wouldn't join. The amount of players that would move on would make the rebuild insanely difficult

Tudor is to do

Would have probably had Rose ahead of him as the interim if he was available. But its a ballsy approach going for someone so front footed. Typical of our yo-yo nature. Back to semi extreme front football of Ange.

We could go on a great run here and finish well clear of relegation. But with the players we have fit and available the 3421 high press could see us lose a lot of entertaining games and go down

Don't know anything about him as coach but if he is more front footed that's hilarious that they've completely flipped it again and probably listened to the players

to be fair, he makes a reasonable point.

Kane was an untried kid, Son was bought on a whim from the Bundesliga, Alli was a shoot from the hip, Lloris wanted to leave. I cant quite remember about the back 4 we had (Walker, Toby, Jan and Rose)

Nah no toby at the time

Was definitely Kaboul, Dawson maybe, Rose was there. Walker and I think guys like Naughton and Zeki Fryers were getting games

Its true we are in a better spot now than then

But I think theres a lot more competition for a top 6 spot now than there was back then too

You lot also have Moore who is a serious talent. Really wish Rangers could sign him permanently, but reckon you lot will want north of £30m. Think he'll be playing with your first team next season. If not, I'd take on loan again definitely

Ive never seen the football club be honed in on it like the current situation

Its always been the players,
or the manager, after manage, after manager
Daniel Levy was to blame for a bit and the tightarse ENIC ownership

it was always one reason or another but now, with scrutiny now coming on Lange, Venkateshan, ENIC and the tightarse wage structure, the manager and players all at once coming to blows with the commercial value of THFC, is there a very real chance the Lewis family tries to cash in before it implodes and loses so much money ?

Levy was always great at deflection away from the real issues at the club. Not a lot has changed really with how we are run. There's no just no stadium build to use as an excuse for not backing a manager. And theres no longer 3-4 absolute world talents (like Kane, Son, Eriksen, Dembele, Toby, Vertonghen and maybe even Lloris) to carry us to victory.

We've been rub on the cheap since the Investment company bought in.

We get good results from time to time with some magic from talents who either fade away or move on to bigger things.

ENIC has been okay with that model because our valuations and revenues keep soaring. But now with relegation a real threat. The revenue and valuation is a big risk. Maybe that will force them into selling?

I dont like Vinai or Lange. But I dont think it's purely their decision to set out a wage budget. That being said I dont think Lange would use a budget wisely. And Vinai would probably allow us to sign Greenwood, Gyfli Siggurdson and Adam Johnson.

Ange full interview now out. Talks a bit about how the Nottingham Forest move was stupid but lot of Spurs content in there. On spotify etc too of course. Been a good listen.

Hes such a good listen, an I fully believe him when he said he had those players in the palm of his hands for this reason.

The guys on here calling him a fat fraud should be embarrassed to show their face here.

We tried signing Semenyo. Then whilst we failed they signed their replacement Rayan who we must have seen play having extensively scouted Sousa
