These threads probably aren't the best place to continuously criticize the show. If you seen The Walking Dead thread, people continuously say they'll stop watching the show and never do, it becomes very annoying.

You can criticise a show though and not come across as a bit of a knob.

"Oh look how smart I am, If you like this show you must be stupid"

If this show was 6 years old like The Walking Dead then maybe. But no it doesn't work like that in season 1. People shouldn't be sooking about reasonable criticisms.

Me: *criticism of TV show*
Others: "**** off" "hipster" "**** off" "double **** off" "moron"

Open your eyes FFS people aren't having a dig at you for criticizing a TV show, they're having a go at you for being such a campaigner. You aren't the only one to criticize the show but you're the only one who got a reaction anything like this, if you honestly can't work out why people didn't react well to your post then you might as well get used to receiving hostile feedback.

I actually agreed with most of your points FWIW but I still found those posts beyond cringeworthy.

No.

You: This show is shit and you're all dumb for watching it and also all these other shows are shit just because I say they are and people who watch them are stupid.

Others: stop being a ****wit

If comparing a not great show to other not great shows pisses you off, then stiff shit.
You must either be a troll or unable to grasp that it is your post that people are attacking

No one gives a shit that you don't like the show , however you're not attacking the show you're attacking the audience that watches it.

The last episode and the last scene confirmed to me it'll be the exact same thing next year.
I enjoyed the show. Just watched the final episode last night. Compelling and engrossing viewing. That's what I was looking for and what I got

People who think this is brilliant drama probably think How I Met Your Mother and The Big Bang Theory are hilarious comedies.

One basic rule. Show threads are for people that watch the show. As watchers they can critically analyse the show. If you have watched it, think it is crap and offer reasons why, that is fine. If you no longer want to watch it because it is crap, feel free to exit the thread.

We all like different things, and you probably have some viewing habits others wouldn't be interested in. You would probably object if they put you down for it though.

Just finished watching the whole of series one inside a week. I found it compelling to watch. We have two great lead characters that have depth and complexity. Plus a host of other interesting characters. The writing is very good as is the depiction by the actors. Love the soundtrack. I laughed out loud at the pretend argument between Bobby and Dollar Bill. Can't wait for season two.

I'm up to episode 5. The Chuck and Axe batttle is best - when they go off track that that little midget billionaire its quite annoying. Like the shaved head girl - bit of a Mr Robot mix to the equation.

Overall its a really good show, lets see how the next 5 episodes pan out.

We binged the first season and the first few episodes of this season a couple of weeks back and are now caught up to watching it episode by episode. Really enjoying it and although I literally have zero clue how financial markets work, the storyline is incredibly compelling. Damian Lewis and Paul Giamatti are both over-acting like every scene is Emmy-bait, but they are both so good at what they do, it's just really enjoyable. And Maggie Siffs is REALLY good as Wendy, arguably the most important character on the show. The pace of the second season has really picked up too.

Also, how great is Wags! The character is a polar opposite from Gale in Breaking Bad, so it was initially quite jarring to see him being an obnoxious, despicable alcoholic with Peter Pan Syndrome. Also, when I looked him up, I realised that I had completely forgotten he was in The Wire as well. Geez, you'd be pretty happy to look back on your career and know you've been in two of the shows that are most often talked about as GOAT.

He was also Doug, Mel's husband, in Flight Of The Conchords from about 10 years ago.

Loving this season. Keep thinking about how the story is so well woven with the various aspects of who is doing a deal with who.

Foley has added a powerful new element into things. The confrontation with Axe was haunting.

It was an alright final but it doesn't make me want to watch for season 2.

What they should of done is instead of Axe blackmailing Wendy, they should of had an affair that Chuck finds out about.

Glad they didn't go down this road (yet).

Way to cheap and predictable, As Wendy Rhodes said in one episode, people at Axe Capital assumed they always f###ing anyway.

After a slow start the last 4-5 episodes have been really good.

2 more episodes to go! it seems they have been building up for a Chuck Rhodes downfall but he always seems to be one step ahead of everyone although my prediction is that the tables will turn and Ax will get the upper hand at the end of the season.
