Black Caviar

The offspring would just be another rockstardom anyway.

Totally different, Makybe Diva was a seasoned staying mare. Black Caviar already has proven bloodlines and is proving to be exceptionally well bred.

I hope she goes back to Ascot (1% chance), brains them and retires.

She and Frankel should make home pr0n during it. Internet hit!

Many well bred mares have failed, too... one popular theory is that their bodies are f**ked from racing, don't have the physical attributes anymore to make an infant thrive. Basically, body f**ked by racing and the shit they pump into them.

There is also a theory that the whole thing is a bit of a myth, ill try to find the actual article i read awhile ago but this one isn't bad either

Wakeful eventually foaled a Melbourne Cup winner, but there are no champions among the progeny of Desert Gold, Tranquil Star, Flight, Wenona Girl, Leilani, Emancipation, Let's Elope and Sunline. And they were carefully bred to the most successful and compatible stallions.

+ Makybe Diva.

So did the other BC race?

Quoted from today's herald sun paper

Owners Pat and Henry Devine had no idea of the furore they had created when they named there colt Black Caviar. They have changed the name to Black Beluga, saying they had never heard of the unbeaten Black Caviar  the 2year old was meant to make its debut yesterday but was scratched after pulling up lame from a track gallop.

On a side note the William Reid stakes at Moonee Valley has been put back 10 minutes so that channel 7 can show it live during the halftime break of the football.

Great idea :thumbsu:

Interesting to see Barakey run today.
Started well but faded to 11th in the Newmarket.
Had 5.5 kgs on the winner but lost by 9 lengths.
Not sure how to read his run.

group 1 race down the Flemington straight is a lot tougher than running at Ascot ot Belmont.

Scans found Barakey fractured his knee during the run as well.

I don't think he is close to the calibre of BC, but blind freddie could see there was something amiss with him during the Newmarket and still people sunk the boot in.

Hope he can get back to his best and have another shot during the Spring.
