Did enough, love the way he goes about it, as others have mentioned doesn't offer as much at this stage as the guys coming back in. Certainly did enough to suggest he can make it at the level. Although if your going to debut that was the game you wanted to debut in. It's hard to go predicting possible upside, a guy that size who needs to get the ball in congestion to really offer anything worthwhile is an interesting prospect. You have to love the way he goes about it though.

I think all we can get from one game is that he was not overawed, contributed and enjoyed the experience. It would be great to think we have unearthed another Bell, Ball or Rock, but it's too early to tell.

It's great that we could manage to debut a guy at all this year really given our quality of depth.

I thought the Aardvark showed enough on debut to suggest he's someone we can work with.

I've been a fan.
I think he is 'genuine' depth , because he is not fatally flawed like other guys hanging onto our list , nor is he on his last legs.
I think he should be regarded as Luke Ball's understudy atm , and be considered if the conditions and match-ups suit.

I watched the full replay the next day and part of it again last night, but watching it live (in person or on tv) cannot be substituted for anything, especially a tv show!

I HAD a gf a few years back who wanted to spend the weekend with me. I said we could do anything except on Friday night wherever we are we are watching the footy. Collingwood were very average at this stage and we got beaten by 10 goals but I had to watch it. Well she preceeded to interrupt me and complain. Well she learnt never to do those things again.

I didn't look at the other posts, I've only just noticed this so will only reply to this:

How can you say he didn't add anything extra? How many legitimate players do we have that thow their body in like he did? Luke Ball, maybe beams and to some extent wellingham but I think for a first game he added a lot. He actually out-performed medhurst as a forward (for this year). It was against West Coast but I won't forget him beating four or five guys in the forward pocket and got the handball over to Cloke.

I dare say he has the potential to be the next Libba or Flea.

Blair was great I thought. His stats show that he was the leading player on the ground for contested possessions. He was so composed under pressure, and his tackling was good as well.

He may not hold his spot, but he showed enough for me to remain very excited about him. If Luke Ball goes down, he could be the cover....and when Ball is 30, Blair will be well and truly in his peak, along with Sidebottom and Beams.

Pendlebury was our best with 11 contested, but yeah, 8 for a first-gamer is pretty damn good.
