GWS get Martin + casboult compo pick -> Hopper + Kelly + Deledio + Griffen + buntine + 2017 2nd round (effectively upgrades 2nd round pick)
Richmond get blues 2018 1st + GWS 2017 2nd round -> Martin

Treloar would not get a game ahead of the others listed. 50 kicks into the Pies forward line for one mark. He butchers it compared to Shiel, Kelly, Cognilio, Ward etc.

Lol Treloar is a gun and finished high in gws best and fairest the year he opted out to Collingwood. They did not want to lose him.

And the whole Collingwood forward line is unorganised even Pendlebury struggles to find a target but it's more the forwards and game plans fault.

Just on DM, I recon dusty is a great player, but someone who is a mercenary and holds his current club to ransom when every contract expires is good for any club other than CFC - this type, do not want!

Suits me fine that he is at richmond tbh and hope he stays there!

For us to even consider trading Gibbs, Adelaide will need to give us 1 top 10 pick plus 1 top 20 pick or they can flower off. He is a star and with a little more midfield support next year will be 1 leading us into finals!!!!!

So true..keep Gibbs and somehow get Kelly and Hopper and we are talking finals next year which would be exciting.

We are already almost beating most teams far more developed than us...get those 2 and with natural improvement from current kids our rise up the ladder will finally begin.

Gibbs with his current form is our best player right now...can't be let go for anything less.

Miles to Carlton would be another Matty Wright type pick - better than average player forced to the fringes due to the quality of players he is directly competing against. If we could get him at the right price, then I'd be very happy.

He'd be basically free...token late pick at most since Richmond aren't playing him.

For that price I'm ok with it even though I don't particularly rate him.

Yep, you'd think so but sounds like it'd be stretching them from their initial ground that rumoured to be ~$800K. Reckon that 'll get to at least $1M now.

New CBA however makes it easier for the bigger $ contracts but places pressure over the ideal list management structure they bang on about. Cotchin and Rance (signed for unders was the reporting) then Riewoldt the money men from RFC.

Did SOS let Miles go to Richmond for nothing because he didn't rate him that highly?

From memory he had about 10 weeks of being a good scorer in supercoach, and then disappeared.

Third club is indeed involved with a Kelly deal, and it's Richmond. We are helping GWS clear the decks to take Martin as a FA via a big salary dump. In return we will be given Kelly & Hopper for our first and change (don't know what this is).

I don't get this from a GWS perspective. I'm going to call it Griffen, Hopper and Kelly for Martin + pick 3/4 if that is the case.

So they get out of Griffen a year early (ala Rhys Palmer)... But Kelly has much longer football at a higher quality than Dusty Martin does.

Personally, If I were GWS I'd rather have Kelly and Hopper for the next 10 years than Dusty for 5 and an unknown.

Martin's career is peaking. Kelly still has significant scope for improvement. The difference between Martin and Kelly isn't big enough to determine a premiership this year let alone in the future when that gap decreases and ultimately heads in the other direction.

With Casboult probably gone, more than two and that kid I mentioned is good up forward........unless Harry starts to come on. That is what I said in my previous comment by the way.....only if Harry is not ready (I think he will be more of a forward anyway)!!! Remember that Phillips had this injury in the pre-season so let`s hope it is not going to be ongoing..........FFS

IF phillips is finished , then yes we do need another ruck. I dont think he is finished though
