So to compare:

10 vs Gibbs
16 vs 2018 round 3
2018 Rd 2 vs 2018 Rd 2
R4 (73) vs R5 (77)

That second line's a massive win for us.

Im happy with this. Will miss Gibbs, he's fantastic but this is great.

Adelaide have not paid two first rounders.... Compare apples with apples:
10 vs Gibbs
16 vs Blues' 2018 Rd2 (say 20-24)

Adelaide have given us 1 first rounder and a circa 4-8 place pick upgrade

... plus some other small pick upgrades:
Crows' 2018 Rd2 (34-36) vs Blues' 2018 Rd3 (38-42)
Crows' R4 (73) vs Blues' R5 (77)

I love it how when SOS is doing a deal, all the list managers would be looking at the guy SOS is dealing with getting bent over and understand SOS is a predator and that poor guy dealing with him is his prey..

then as soon as the deal goes through and the cards start to fall, they come to the realisation that they are all Silvagni's prey and they were all along..

SEN just did the maths on the trade points value of the Gibbs deal.

Most people think the Dees payed heaps for Lever. That deal valued leaver at pick 5.

Well the Gibbs deal was just valued as pick 6. Massive win for us that deal.
Too early to assess because future picks, free agency dilution etc. But worst case - Carlton last, Crows flag, no FA dilution = pick 8 for gibbs net value.

We finish better, they finish worse or lots of FA movement - the deal is of higher value.
