Lets just say, something happened or was said to cause the
poor performance, drunken behaviour.
Yeah we know.............the racist thing.

I've heard a different stories to what you've heard but who knows exactly where the truth lies.
Talk to enough people and you'll have plenty of conflicting stories but having said that................Malthouse wouldn't be beyond saying the 'wrong' thing.
Remember Milne? Silly old man, he is.

It's usually attitude that gets people into situations like that. The way they walk, talk and have to stare..

Would of agreed with that once upon a time, now that ice is on the streets it has changed the landscape.

Example: Juddy eating fish and chips in Lygon street and being verbally abused to the point of almost physical abuse. Was he chewing to loud for some dick to stop and have a go at him? Tall poppy syndrome and there will always be a tosser who wants his 2 mins of fame.

Yes, there is always some moron with not much going for him, wanting to make a name for himself. I've seen it first hand with Andy McLeod, just out to have a nice evening and being abused for no reason other than he is a famous footballer.

I'm pretty sure that it wasn't Malthouse that was rumoured to have said something out of line..

I'm talking about the average Joe, not a celebrity.
Your point has validity nonetheless

Pretty much, you generally know through people watching those who are looking for trouble and those that will have trouble find them.

I've heard others also, but who knows for sure.
People can make things up and then when you have connected parties adding on a little more sauce as things go along........ some of the truth at least, gets a bit of a working over.

One thing that is for sure though, is that Garlett wanted out and in a hurry.........and it may not have been for one situation, alone.

Caught up with an old friend last night whom I hadn't seen in a while, who has reliable sources inside the club, he told some interesting things

1 - The club had always planned to trade Menzel by around the halfway mark of last season (laziness the main reason apparently)

2 - Some very interesting stuff about Charlie Curnow that I can't repeat here. But many seem to think he'll be the best player from that draft, and the club had been keen on him for a long time.

3 - Clem Smith could be a surprise packet this season, and could replace Yarran'a spot from the half-back flank

4 - (and this will annoy some people) We definitely ARE NOT interested in trading/acquiring Jag O'Meara, not only has he had 2 serious knee ops, he wants too much money and apparently there is someone else from The Suns we're very keen on (and who wants to join Carlton)

Lastly, the rumour of Eddie staying if he only got an extra 50 K per season seems true

Both were on notice...

Don't go out, don't drink, team rules, you're not above anyone else...

Issues were well and truly going on well before this happened...

To think that Mick 'said' something to offend Jeffy is totally out of line. Mick was the BOSS, do what you're told or go back to the reserves and sulk...

They are both better people for what happened, it's amazing what happens when you are told, 'this is your last chance or you will lose $150K a year'!!!

Brisbane is good for Robbo as he is away from the 'scene'...

Good on you for putting out what many have suspected and (some have known) for a few years now. Are you starting to understand (at least) my anti Malthouse venom now?

To some extent, although the old board (still) is mainly to blame, offering MM a ridiculous amount of $ to coach us. Do admit Mick did coach us for the wrong reasons (in hindsight) and I'd have Eddie back over Daisy in a heartbeat, but what's done is done.

Not dismissing Malthouse's responsibility for decisions like recruiting Thomas, but for the sake of 50k, you'd think a guy would keep playing for the club that has set him up for life.

If you are going to mention this, you should at least give an indication about whether said 'interesting things' are good, bad, or otherwise irrelevant to football.
