It used to be 6 home games at Etihad and 5 home games at the MCG.
It used to be 11 games at Princes Park... with the occasional game moved to the G for the big crowds.

It also used to be pay check footy that got us our flags.

I was referring to post 2005 you know when we moved from our home ground! :D
Yes the present, where we need to be.

Too much living in the past from Carlton fans.

You are kidding right! :p
yeah... occasional games at G... there were a few special games that I can remember in 1970, 1972, 1979, 1981, 1982, 1987, 1995 :D

Sheesh... can't a guy even setup a good joke in peace :P

Not in my lifetime.

As a teenager I used to have to catch a bus to VFL Park.
The only time I have ever been to that hellhole was when I was going to a catholic school and we all got bused out there to see this little figure right in the middle of the ground waving his hand around who they said was the pope...

I used to have the keys to Waverly park. I would patrol the ground the day after the game and would end up watching the Sunday footy show in the corporate area. It was always a buzz watching the waverly Park game being reviewed with Waverly Park in the background...with memories of the day before escorting the umpires on and off the arena!

Thanks Aphrodite. Azul, jimsta10 & Keyza.
Was pretty sure the Etihad deal had finished. Thought it meant more than just 1 extra game at the MCG though :(
Pity that we can't/don't play 1-2 games at PP, against say GCS, or GWS.
Probably zero chance of the AFL, or PP's neighbour's ever letting that happen.

Unfortunately we don't dominate the pay cheque football stakes as we used to.
No we don't. It's rubbish that the draft and salary cap provide teams with a level playing field, making it easier to climb the ladder. It's still about who has the most money to throw at elite players.

3. Exile oneself in the Northern Hemisphere over 'summer'.

That's what I did - Canadian adventure in July-September 2013 - arrived back home for the Grand Final 8 kilos lighter.

Please go in 2016 and (if we draft him) take Kieran Collins with you!!

True supporters go to as many games possible regardless of where we sit on the ladder

This.
Follow the club in good times and bad.

Agree with this.

But it shouldn't be as bad as last time anyway. We finished last with an old list, then they took away our picks.

This time we had pieces to move, giving us 4 picks in the top 20. Plus we still have some decent players to guide the young talent.

Murph, Gibbs, kreuzer, daisy, cripps - will make it easier on any young talented mid, not like when murphy was tagged from his first game.

Jamo, Rowe, Simpson, 2E will mean we're aren't throwing Weitering into a Luke Livingston situation

Casboult should take the number 1 forward, with Everitt needing attention as well as a fit walker so hopefully a forward could find his place without bearing the load.

Boltons in a no pressure, build them from scratch situation so the media might leave us alone for once. We've learnt lessons from the last failed rebuild. I'm looking forward to us doing it property this time.

The only club that will really rub it in will be richmond round 1, as they are starved of success.

Anyone going on an overseas holiday during footy season should be exiled for eternity.

That's taking it a bit far. We need to come up with a code of what's acceptable and what's not.

"I'm watching it on TV tonight because I think we'll lose" is the excuse of a fair weather support.

List of valid excuses for not being there
-wedding/engagement
-when your playing footy yourself
-overseas trip
-if the games interstate (I've never been to an interstate game, but perhaps you should have to attend one every 5 years to retain ultimate supporter status???)
-milestone birthday of a friend or family (18th, 21st, 30th, 40th, 50th) but even then you should watch it on TV from the party

Anything else?
