the younger guys seem close. Check their IG's and they often post pics with each other

Yeah I've been out before and seen Graham, Cripps, Fields, Whiley, Jaksch, and Walsh all together. And in all likelihood probably some more of the younger guys that I just didn't recognise

I think that it wouldnt hurt Buckley to get out and about with these guys... this is going to be the core of the club going forward and if he is going to be a part of the club, this is the group to be with

Certainly, he may very well have been with them and I just didn't see him or was to drunk at the time to notice him. But it'll definitely help if he gets more amongst the younger core.

Recently had dinner with an old school mate who was on an AFL list and one of the Carlton players that has been on more than 1 AFL list. Obviously i didn't press (even though i wanted to), but he said that while he tried not to read too much into things (too busy keeping his spot every weekend) Carlton was the first Club he has been at where the players quite literally all go their separate ways after training/games/events etc. He said that while they didn't not get along, they arent even remotely as close knit as any other club he has been at. And thats including the guys that have been together 5+ years.

Nothing there you probably can't see if you attend training etc, or watch games. But interesting nonetheless.

Thanks for sharing.

I've always wondered whether they hung out together. You can tell they just don't have a bond. And maybe it's not much, but they rarely post photos or tweet each other like other clubs players do. Not to mention they never celebrate a goal properly. Cripps' first goal reaction was a disgrace.

This does not surprise me at all and it shows in the way that they are playing. We look so far from a team it is not funny. You don't have to live in each others pockets but social gatherings for football teams away from their work environment is so important and the boys have to have faith in their team mates on and off the field. If this is really the case and with all the guru's around the club I can not fathom why they don't see this as a problem.
Very, very sad.

At the opposite end of the scale is the WCE, not a great midfield, major injuries but playing out of their skins for each other and their coach.
