If we have the option of gaining a really good young player at the expense of Yarran then we should seriously consider it. As good as Yarran can be, I've seen him play without effort so many times that I think we'd be better off developing our side with players who set high standards and offer leadership and not ones who set poor examples and poor standards at times. Good for Bolton wanting him to stay, any decent coach will back their ability and believe they can get the best out of players and for Yarran his best is very good. Like all good players, if they go we need to be getting something really good in return.

On that I think there may be quite a few clubs out there willing to go down the quick fix path. Geelong, Collingwood and Richmond seem to be ones who might be looking to go for experience over potential/youth. Fremantle might have cap space if Pav retires but unlikely and if Danger goes to Geelong this will fire up Adelaide to chase a big name or two but also encourage geelong to stock up on older players rather than rebuild through youth. For once we could be at the right end and beneficiaries of this kind of thing. There might be clubs out there who we can take early/late first rounders from which is good news for us. Oh and North, they are always looking for established players, who could forget them. TBH I wouldn't be surprised if a heap of top 8 sides, particularly ones who really need pace like North and Hawthorn go hard for Yarran.

Is there going to be someone available in Silvagnis eyes at pick 11 that he thinks its worth it. Im sure Richmond would ask themselves the exact same question. I may be mistaken but I dont think Richmond have traded a 1st rounder for a long time, if at all. It was also stated by MS3 Richmond werent going to deal with their 1st rounder for him (nor Geelong for Hendo). In a shallow draft we wont be interested in 2nd rounders.

You would think. Curnow, McKay, Weiderman, R.Clarke, Partington, Oliver and Gresham. Key forwards and mids, just what we are looking for and are desperate for.

He was essentially a freebie thanks to Crazy Vossy's generosity in the Fev trade so no net loss if he walks for nothing.
