SO, where does this leave us with regards to list spots The Old Dark Navy's? Looks like we take 5 players in the draft. Four at the very least if we don't select SOSOS for some reason.

Personally if you'd said we'd land the following pre-trade I'd have taken it given three of the four were always out the door.

Henderson (uncontracted & leaving) = pick 8 (tick)
Yarran (contracted but keen to leave) = pick 11 (tick)
Bell (contracted but legit family reasons) + Menzel (contracted, often injured but untapped potential) = GWS 4+ Kerridge i.e. depth across the park (tick)

That said, I generally like to take the optimistic view. Ultimately time will tell, I just hope all the guys we've got are committed to work hard.

Of course we have done well! We have gotten rid of players that didn't want to be here and gained some early picks to bring in some great talent!

I think we won most trades. Possibly lost on Menzel (which was part of bigger picture anyway). Yarran probably square. Not really sold on 20,21 for 11. But time will tell on that one.

Would have been A+ if landed Tomlinson or other big fish for value.

Regardless, very happy with trade 'week'.

Yarran had been playing like shit all season and come the end of the year, we find out that Bitchmond has been in his ear all year and he wants to go there.

We weren't getting rid of talented players because we wanted to... we were getting rid of talented but lazy ****ers who couldnt be arsed playing for the jumper.

**** em I say... and **** plough. Our trades this year qualifies us for a good solid A for what we have achieved.

Realistically, was always going to be tough to get Tomlinson out with McCarthy being so vocal about wanting to go home.

I believe both have 2 years left to run on their contracts, so GWS are probably right to hold on to them for at least another year until they have quality replacements.

Probably a good chance they try and trade both for overs next year to capitalise before both guys come out of contract in 2017. No reason we can't make a play for Tomlinson then.

Delist Warnock it allows us a shot at the PSD if someone is still there and we roll Wood, Sheehan, and Byrne over 1 more year and delist Gowers and Fields.
