Random comment but I remain obsessed with trying to work out why Voss refused to play Boyd all year. It will be interesting to see if Boyd, an elite kick in a team severely lacking quality ball users, finds himself back in favour under the new (more clued on) football department.

I believe some may have alluded to attitude/preparation issues with Boyd?
when he came in for that one game late in the year he ran like i do.

he was slow and looked gassed 5 minutes in.

i remember thinking he looked 40.... so different from previous years.

Finally caught up 😪
Watched the trade deadline with my 8 year old son. He was sad at first to loose Charlie. Then we watched Ainsworth’s highlights and he said I think my new favourite player will be Ben. Do you think he will play round one dad? I responded with let’s go to the game and find out. The jumper means so much more than the players.

Considering that tassie has about a dozen 1sts in 2027, I don't value the draft picks in that year highly. Wouldve preferred 31 going to WB for buku and f3. Like what we did with 22, can't be a part of curnow trade if we don't own it.
Still have the faith, but a bit flat without that and time to have a crack at GCS for Humphrey with 10

It's probably heresy to say here, but it's almost not worth getting Walker if he's a TOP 5 player and we have to give up a TOP 5 player and a TOP 10 player to get him potentially or at least 2 TOP 10 players. Obviously I want Walker but it may come at the cost of a two kids of similar talent. It's what they want I guess

The fact is we are not going to pay more than his worth, so how can it not be worth it? Suggesting players rated lower in the draft will be just as good is a bit of navel gazing. Regardless of father/son the argument about getting a top 3 talent or splitting picks is had by teams every year. West Coast fans weren't thrilled to do it last year.

Hard to be consistent when there’s no system.

Literally no one was consistent this year, plenty of reason why but it’s true pretty much across the entire team & staff.

Gov playing well makes us a better side, he’s best 22 everyday if he’s on, it’s on the coaching group to get the best out of him - it’s literally their job.
This is not solely based on 2025.

Look at the difference between his brother and himself and you will see the difference on conditional football.

Geez, I forgot he existed.

Ecstatic about the Curnow trade. I personally like Charlie. He's a different cat, like most superstars. I have no ill feeling to him.

But we have killed it on the deal. Absolutely maxed out the deal, and set up our future with Jagga instead of Houston, O;Farell instead of Kanga and now 6 1sts in our mitts.

An average 2 years ahead i reckon, then we'll be roaring when a lot of clubs will be spluttering post the Tassie '27 draft. And i'm not convinced on Sydney being great going forward either. Coxy doesn't exactly fill ya with confidence.

Well done Austin.

Wondering what big brother Ed was thinking this week. You dont get anymore blue blooded than Ed

Apparently not fond of carlton either, despite owing his career to the club and being given an extra year at the end he didnt deserve.

Probably the wrong thread but I’ll post here anyway. I think we hold our picks til draft night. If a bid comes really early we use 9 and 11. If a bid comes just before 9 we trade with Kangaroos 9 and 11 for 25,26,46 and F1, if no bid by our pick we take best available and match dean bid with 11.

Buku as a FA if we’re still on.

Not bad. Can pay for Dean with 25 and 26 and ensure we cover Ison with 46. It would have to be a 2026 F1. We definitely cover Walker then and get another player. Or we get to use a first rounder, paired with 2 F1s to get a gun trade.

Ainsworth, Hayward, Florent, Jagga, Newman, Kemp injected into the side.

Chesser, Reidy have a pre season to fight for their case in the 23. Dean to be drafted and do the same.

Future 1sts in the bag to hit up Walker.
Cap space cleared to target a big player in FA or trade 2026.

We had the chance to do something for future Carlton and we did it.

Id probably swap those two. I think Chesser locks down one wing. Kemp I think we will ease back I believe it was said over the last week or two.

Im not a coach but to me it seems he lacks physicality. Yes he can kick but he cant defend.
