There’s a classy way of doing it. Just throwing out a bunch of shit into the media is not the way to do it. Would be an awful look
Nah. Letting the media say alcohol though, and us wondering wth is not the right way either. Just leads to distrust and more speculation.

Having such a talented player sacked mid contract with no real explanation is difficult for supporters to cop.
nope - its clear (without being detailed) why he would be getting the sack

Really disappointed

Hope he gets his life together

Will trust the club, including bringing him back in if the club so chooses

So then what should we do? Because we can't just be throwing it out to the world what has happened just because the media has shown one narrative
The answer isn't to lie or feed half truths.

Keep it general as personal issues. Refute falsehoods. Leave it at that.

Not if one side of the story has been publicly broached and published.

Tell it as it is.

No club wants to lose a good footballer.

It’s not unreasonable to think the club has its reasons for letting him go — and that it might not be in anyone’s best interest, including EJ’s, for all the details to be aired publicly.

Those two things can be true at the same time.

My take is it is as much about list spaces as his apparent behavioural issues.

Expect 1 more primary list spot to be freed up from either Mcgovern, binns or boyd.

That's culture and leadership. Jack Silvagni is a player who wants to win at all costs. For him to jump ship confirms the club is in a massive hole and he couldn't see anything to indicate its changing anytime soon.

Jack thought he had a very discriminating taste as to what constitutes a shit club - however apparently he does not. 🤣

Such a waste, Elijah could’ve been a star

On the bright side, we have a possible replacement in Ison.

Similar size, similar HFF/mid role, similar Pendlebury-lite traits.

Fingers crossed.

Super disappointed about Elijah.
For him personally and the club and his brother, but the club has all the details and Elijah has had enough time to plead his case.
If he is to be sacked I wish him all the best in getting sorted and I am confident the brainstrust made the considered call.

Thanks mick Ablett ;)
