Boak has been one of the most criminally underrated players of the past decade. Just a real consistent and solid champion whom I think when he retires, defintley will be one of Port's 5 greatest AFL era players (so far)

Dangerfield may look the more glamorous choice on paper, but I truly think Danger is a media darling and overall there is more hype than substance to his performances (aside from his Brownlow year obviously) whereas I think Boak has contributed more to his team's performances and wins Fundamentally.

Not to be a pedant, but for accuracy I believe Boak has 2 B&Fs.

2017 Dangerfield averaged 29.9 disposals, led the league in contested possessions with 17.9, led the league in clearances with 7.2, while kicking 45 goals. 45 goals from the league leading clearance midfielder. Wasn’t even his Brownlow year.
Boak is good but Dangerfield was on a completely different level.

It is seriously not close and that is not a knock on Boak who is a fine player.

I'm not sure how anyone could vote Boak as a better player than Danger. Do the Boak voters even watch football or do they just dislike Dangerfield? I dislike Danger as much as anyone, but you can't deny his on field resume.

Boak has been great in his own right, but he isn't on the same level as Dangerfield as a player.

Boak has had a good career but Dangerfield has consistently been one of the league’s best and has the accolades to show.

He gets disrespected partly because of tall poppy syndrome and partly because he comes across as a bit of a flog if his demeanour isn’t something you like.

Yeah, I also don’t agree with that. The shorter quarters season was the worst I’ve ever seen in terms of interest.

But that’s his opinion I guess, it just has that weight of his position and standing. For now though his cries aren’t being listened to fortunately.
