I'm not sure how much weight to put on Barrett's TFS bit last night. Supposedly there is friction between board members over football vs corporate priorities.
There'll always be differences of opinion between directors. No two people agree about everything. Of course there will be different attitudes between how much we spend on the football department and running the place as a business. Is it that big a problem? We'll see in the next annual report.
The club's purpose is to win premierships, whereas every director's duty is to run the club like a business. It's the sporting club/corporation dichotomy writ small.
What concerns me is internal debate becoming public. That's something we haven't had the displeasure to see since the Smorgon days, and I don't want to see it back.

, reckons members of the board (meaning Jeanie) want to cut Football Department Spending just as the team is coming good, even though Dick completely ignored our debt, and put all his dough into the Football Department
