you can't really blame him though.....i've seen the ad and it is quite bad "86 bagillion guns" or something like that

it doesn't show the game for what it really is.

True, as I've said nothing I was seeing from videos and previews was getting me that into this game.

I think it's one of those games you NEED to play before you realise how good it is. As it can seem bland or boring from first looks or even a light description of the game.

Im going to trade this in tomorrow for the full refund which I'll put towards MW2.

I plan on buying it on Steam straight away though :)

Just finished this tonight with a few friends. I was a level 38 Hunter, and there's no way I'd bother playing it through again. I'll be trading it in immediately towards a Modern Warfare 2 pre-order. I really enjoyed the game to start with, but it dragged on and got pretty boring towards the end. The actual ending itself was pitiful also. Probably the worst since the days of NES games lol

Yeah the ending was woeful.

That said i started a new game immediately with the Siren. Wish i played her the first time, waaaaay more fun than the hunter

What class mods are you guys using? I want to know if there are really damaging ones at higher levels.

I've got a Mercenary one for Lilith. +40% damage from SMGs (have put that to good use), +2 Quicksilver (increases rate of fire), +2 High Velocity (increases bullet velocity and damage) and +2 Girl Power (regen shield when killing an enemy).

Purchased it on Steam yesterday (55 Dollars AUS)

Played the single campaign and with 4 mates, This game was made for co-op mode, The Campaign is pretty average soo far but im loving the cell shading and is pretty fun to play, (except when a team-member pisses off a few level 10 skag while we're all level 2)

Really happy i bought this

Come up against the crimson lance yet? That upped my interest a fair bit

It definately picks up once you come up against them. Those badasses are fully armoured, and have some pretty impressive weaponry.

Think Brotherhood of Steel/Enclave in Fallout 3

Great game. Worst ending ever, don't think ill play it again for a while.

Got this on Monday and, having literally nothing to do, have played the f' out of it. Strangely addictive, seeing as it doesnt have anywhere near the depth of, say, Fallout 3 (but obviously few games do). Have got my siren up to level 25 in 14 and a bit hours. Gunna grind a little and then go after Krom.

This was probably my personal GOTY (just because of the fun factor, playing with caMo and Kingy).

Now that MW2s out and that I've finished that, I'll probably go back to it and finish it off.

I'm level 25 and have 1 million in money and have some pretty expensive weapons (too bad they don't do much damage).

Anyone play a substantial amount of this on split screen co-op? How'd they find it?

Yes mate I have played a lot of co-op and infact it is the only multiplayer Borderlands I've played. It is pretty awesome, the only issue is the menu where you apply your skill points, check your inventory etc is the same size as one player so you have to scroll around it a bit but you get used to it. Split screen is a lot of fun though, definitely worth giving it a go.
