Mortified and stupified!

Look at him. He's hideous, repulsive, disgusting.

Back from Seinfeld though...is this game any good? I may pick up a copy after exams finish.

Read what everyone is saying. :) I'm hooked on it right now.

Out of all the elemental snipers, i must say if you can find a good flaming one, you generally don't go back. I had one called the Hard Volcano, and even tho I found corrosive and shock ones with similar stats, the volcano just ****ed shit up.

Finished the game last night with my hunter in 33 hours. Got to level 38. Don't expect much from the ending haha, it's ridiculously tacked on and lame but the game was never about the story i guess.

Started a new game with a siren, i think i'm liking her ability more than the Hunter so far

Yea, I've heard the volcano ones are awesome, and that's what I'm kinda hanging out for.

I've got a decent incendiary sniper that I often use against normal people; it just doesn't seem anywhere near as effective against armoured people or animals with exoskeletons?

Are they very effective against armoured enemies though?

Thats a good point. Human enemies yes, the incendiary sniper destroys bandits and crimson lance guys, but against the beasties like spiderants with a bit of armour, not so much.

Thing is i find most of your fights with things like spiderants are rarely sniper fights, as they just pop up randomly at close range. Guns like SMG's and Assault rifles seem to work better on those guys as you get more crits as they turn side on and stuff.

I find that my corrosive shotgun works excellently against those spiderants, shoot them once and they turn around and then get critical shots in the back of them. That shotgun also has a zoom scope that makes my accuracy drop severly so I don't use that much. The green looks nice though :).

Post more bitches!

I bought a new sniper rifle last night; didn't really need to, and it's not *that* good, but it goes alright. And I had $200k and it was only $30k.

High 200 damage +150% crit.

9 rounds in the mag and 2.4x zoom (thats why I bought it).

Plus a bit of other shit - but no elemental effects.

Basically I bought it so I can use that from really far away, then switch to my Liquid Sniper (the one above) and use that closer, then switch to revolvers or rifles (and combat rifle, a flipping good one, will be my next purchase).

With both of my sniper rifles now (not the elemental ones), with my class skills, my stone thingy and my proficiencies and whatever else, I've done crit hits with over 4k damage; one shotting lvl 25 Bruisers and their heads just explode.

To buy decent guns do you need to visit a shop that isn't at your home base in Fyrestone? The weapons and shit in there seem pretty crap still.

Yea, they're pretty balls.

Obviously as you progress, the shops get better weapons and you find better weapons lying around.

I went back to Fyrestone last night to finish it's mission and do a couple they send you to do from New Haven, and the guns and shit I have now just absolutely dominate. I went and killed Scar, the Skag thing, and I headshotted him with a sniper and killed him before I even realised he was the boss.

The weapons in this game really do add another dimension to it, and make it bloody addictive.

i've maxed out diva, quicksilver, slayer and enforcer and am putting all my recent points into high velocity....not sure what i'll go for after that.

i just wanna be able to rip them to shreds since taking them down as quickly as possible is my preferred method.
my co-op buddies are the stand back and pick them apart while i'm the chaos master :)

I just saw an add for this on tv. I thought it was a joke it looks like something off the N64. THe graphics are shocking. People can't be serious and buy this for $100.

9.0 Graphics
A bit of a stunner; the design ethic - lots of corrugated iron and ramshackle buildings - is complimented with clever comic-style shading and excellent animation. Very cool indeed.

Anybody playing as Lilith?
If so, what build are you using?

I'm working on this build: http://borderlandsthegame.com/skilltree/lilith/#21500550050000000505555

I've only got the three under controller so far (Diva, Dramatic Entrance and Hard to Get). Helps heaps though, I try to run into groups, Phase walk with fire damage, melee the strongest one in the group and they get hit again with fire damage.. then try and drop them with critical hits from the SMG. The build should suit my style of play :)

Its utilises cell shading dude, the graphics look rad. As you can see by the feedback here the game is a out an out winner

The graphics are anything from shocking. I have to say I'm not particularly a fan of the cell shaded style but the actual graphical capabilities of this game is very good.

Comparing it to something like a Fallout 3, Borderlands is in another league, far and away the better graphical game. In terms of quality for open world games it probably wouldn't be better than a GTA IV, inFAMOUS or Far Cry 2. But the graphics are very good none the less.
