Slightly addicted to this game :)

Anyone else had this bug on one of the missions? -->In the sniper parts mission one of the parts isn't where the map says it is<--
Yeah that happened to me and I spent a good 5 minutes searching in that spot for it.

It's on the half bridge part on the left hand side of the mountain. Near where it's supposed to be.

There's a heap of those find the parts missions. Many times it just seems to give you an area to look rather than a specific location on the map. They're generally all very close together tho.

Look for seemingly inaccessible places...usually where it is

Nice - don't do too many though; Camo and I only ran off and did the King Wee Wee mission because it was pretty easy - tonight we can go through and do the proper maps.

I'm surprised at how keen I am to get home and play this :o I want to load up those two badarse revolvers I found and have a loadout like this;

Sniper
Sniper
Revolver
Revolver

And see how much damage I can do in close with the pistols.

that loadout might not be the best because if you happen to run out of ammo you're done since they all share the same ammo.
that's why i like to have one of each weapon so it's almost impossible to run out of ammo (even though i fill up all the time as well obviously picking it up along the way.)

btw seriously that new sniper i have is so good it's crazy. i find myself sniping more than anything now ONE SHOT KILLS FTW!
i've picked up ones with over 300 damage but nothing is like this beast (i gave one with over 300 damage to kerrbs)

also i have no idea what the hell happened when we dies those times and kept having to revive each other....that was really odd

I think there's a dude on that king wee wee mission that has a rocket launcher that fires 3 rocket bursts....from memory. Could have been him

nah i know the guy you're talking about and that's elsewhere (beaten him 3 times now with 3 diff people.....possibly 4 times tonight when i play it with my g/f's brother)

we kept looking around to see what was doing it but never saw anything.
it was really random considering we'd barely died and then all of a sudden in just a normal bit like where u go to find loot....we both die in such an easy section lol

gametraders has this for $69 just dont think i will get much out of it with MW2 coming out next week

yeh i don't think you will either but it's awesome

it also wouldn't be the same without playing it with a group of guys who are going through it from your friends list, in real life or this forum where u can discuss it

also mance that smg is the ****!

i mean it's got a slow ass fire rate and a tiny clip but holy hell! :|

The slow fire rate is actually a good thing, with its 93.5 accuracy its basically a full auto sniper. Most guys are dead in 3 shots, even crimson lance guys, so small clip isn't a big issue

Anyone got a bigger pic of this:

I need a new background.

yeh with the smg's i critical hit them to oblivion over and over....with that gun it would only take like 2 bullets!

the only thing that stops that gun for me is that its zoom would be to intense up close for me...
i had one with zoom like that, that was better statistically than the one i use now but i had to piss it off because the zoom just made me lose where i was a bit when they were rushing me and i wasn't as accurate with it even though its accuracy stats were superior to what i use now

in cod4 i never use the sights unless they are a fair distance away but for this game with the smg the amount of critical hits i was getting with the sights up than without it made me make the change....it just knocks them down that much quicker that it's changed my gunning style (for this game only)

this is mainly the big tough guys i'm talking about here....the normal guys don't require the critical hits as much....so i just hip shoot them or snipe them up close :D

Be careful lads:

Major bug.

As far as the 360 version is concerned, I've just recently read elsewhere that the skill point loss occurs when you receive an invite and join a game while still in a game session. The proposed solution is to make sure you exit to the main menu before joining any games.

That is what some dude on there posted, not sure if it is only an Xbox issue or not.

When you reset skill points, do you lose them all or is there some sort of punishment for doing so?
I believe you pay several thousand $$$ to reset and re-distribute them.

That would just rip your heart out if it happened, esp with a high level character. I must say it's something that makes me nervous about the game, there is no multiple save slots, just an autosave slot for each character.

Something i'm really anal about these days is having multiple saves for the same game, usually alternating between 2 or 3. That way if a save gets corrupted or wiped, you have another to fall back on. Can't do that with this game.

One thing i got out of that thread....that ties in with the whole modern gamer/old school gamer argument...was this constant theme through the thread

I put a lot of time and effort into this character and I can't be expected to take this size of loss with a grain of salt. This is outrageous.

If they dont fix it soon i would really like a re-fund

etc etc

****in lol. Bloody gen y gamers. Back in the old days how many times did the power go out on the last stage of sonic, or you wrote a save game password down wrong, or the dog knocked the console and it froze? No forums for us to go have a cry on back then.

These younguns don't know how good they have it.

who told you to put the balm on? did i tell you to put the balm on?

You are right about these gen y kids... I would be gutted if I lost my character but some people are going well over the top there.

Even though I did read that some people lost level 50 characters! I would be devo if I lost my level 18... couldn't imagine what I'd do if it was a level 30+. It is a bad idea to only have one save spot, if I'm playing a game which I'm putting a lot of hours in to then I always have at least one backup... you never know when the power will go out while you are auto-saving or something.

The differences in the weapons here really does add an awesome new dimension to this game.

As I said earlier, I basically go with 2 snipers on my person, and keep at least another one backup in my backpack.

Last night I literally spent about 5 minutes standing in front of a vending machine trying to figure out whether I should spend $40k on a new corrosive sniper rifle (it was pretty awesome); had 5 rounds in the clip where my current one only has 3, it did about 30 rounds more damage, was a little less accurate, but quicker rate of fire - the kicker was my existing rifle did x4 corrosive and very high chance, this one was x2 and a high chance...

I ended up sticking with my existing one; partly because I wasn't sure how much longer I'd need a corrosive rifle, especially one that badarse, plus I found a corrosive assault rifle that's very effective, and also started using one of those revolvers I mentioned above - 200+ damage, scoped and a lightning strike on almost every single shot; so I decided between my really good standard rifle, my pretty good corrosive rifle, my decent assault rifle and my really good revolver, I'd save the money and buy the next most awesome standard rifle I could find.

Out of all the elemental snipers, i must say if you can find a good flaming one, you generally don't go back. I had one called the Hard Volcano, and even tho I found corrosive and shock ones with similar stats, the volcano just ****ed shit up.

Finished the game last night with my hunter in 33 hours. Got to level 38. Don't expect much from the ending haha, it's ridiculously tacked on and lame but the game was never about the story i guess.

Started a new game with a siren, i think i'm liking her ability more than the Hunter so far
