Essendon are paying Caldwell marginally more than what St Kilda are offering Crouch. One has played a couple of okay games, Crouch is a genuine gun. Ridiculous conclusion to form.

That's bad news for St Kilda if Adelaide match. Granted, they have to plan their salary cap to suit their plans with other players but I don't see how not paying Crouch enough for band one results in this not costing St Kilda an elite talent one way or another.

Essendon are paying 450K over 4 years which isn't close to St Kilda's reported 600K offer to Crouch. St Kilda's offer to Caldwell was similar to ours.
Caldwell reportedly chose Essendon over St Kilda for more opportunities after Crouch nominated St Kilda.
