I know right. He's going to be an absolute machine. I do not miss Bernie Vince.
Fair enough we are all getting excited about Brad but Matt could be one of the most prolific midfielders in the league

He's been racking up big numbers as a first and second year player off the back of NO completed pre seasons in his life

Imagine off 4 or 5 pre seasons ??!!!!

I'm completely bullish re this kid and think we will see the first signs this year of a champion of our club

You've obviously never seen their father Crouch senior...built like a brick outhouse, one very solid unit is Phil just like his sons...obviously Brad's lower legs are lacking a bit of muscle definition at this stage given his well documented foot problems..

Hmm.... ol' Phil seems a bit elusive to find but here's a photo from Ballarat Courier article :

I've said before that Matt will be the next Matt Priddis. Don't necessarily mean he'll win a Brownlow, but he'll be the guy who gets 25-30 touches a game (with like 20 of them being handballs), tons of clearances and be a tackling machine.

Totally agree and with the introduction of more outside run and speed Matt's Inside game and releasing players by use of hand will be important

Could Matt cool a Danger type? Sure he could make someone's life pretty miserable!

B Crouch is the one player I most want to get a decent run in 2016 without injury, He has shown enough to suggest he could be a gun player but has always fallen to injury, He sure wouldn't be a straight swap for the other guy we lost to Moggs, But he could sure help cover him with help with the other up and coming midfielders IMO.

M Crouch looks like he has had a fantastic pre-season and Brad is just a Jet who needs a bit of luck

The Brothers could be HUGE for us in 2016
At times last year I was a bit disappointed because he looked to be labouring and carrying a bit of weight but he looks in great nick right now. Will change his game dramatically IMO. He already gets a tonne of the ball, I expect he will be far more damaging this year.

The way Matt has managed to find the footy in his first 2 seasons is pretty impressive. With his first full preseason under his belt and some confidence in his power to buy him some time, I'm expecting a huge year from him. If Brad remains on the park I think our midfield will improve from last year. Would be better with Danger, but I doubt we've gone backwards, injury permitting.
Without Danger our midfield has gone backwards at a rate of knots. We've just lost, most likely, a future Brownlow medslist.

And gained one if B Crouch remains fit. Apart from not being a dangerous forward, I don't view a fully fit B Crouch as being much the lesser of Danger. What we lose in brute force we make back up in disposal quality and genuinely high footy IQ. But if Brad's fitness stutters, then I agree wholeheartedly.

I like the idea that you are pushing the 'No Dangerfield no Crows' barrow. Some sections of the media have grabbed onto this and it's great. We will well and truly fly under the radar early in the season if we can get this even further into media consciousness.
Danger is a good footballer, but this is a team game. The loss of one player will not affect the overall results this team achieves in 2016 and beyond.
Everybody, promulgate this rumour in every forum you can.

It's easy to say that the team is bigger than just one player but there you go, I said it anyway.

I think the Club has made the best out of the shit sandwich it found itself holding. The team has a good balance to it now and there is pressure on a few positions where there was none previously.

Brad looks to be coming along nicely, if he stays on the park the young fella will have the weight of a supporter group on his shoulders.

I am actually looking forward to watching and supporting the team minus the moggy this year.

Based purely upon the season just gone I still miss him a little bit.

Why? He wouldn't have played that way in Crows colours.

Yes and feel free to mention the draw too. Everybody has totally written off the Crows this year. It's great. We play 100 times better as underdogs.

Are people still thinking we'll be the same or better without Danger?

Brouch will help ease the pain, but our midfield will certainly be worse off without a top 5 player in the game. There's no doubt about it. We've gone from having a top 6 midfield to a borderline top 12 midfield, IMO.

It really depends on how much faith you want to put in Don Pyke. If he's the elite strategist everybody keeps saying he is, maybe we won't suffer nearly as much as you think.

I have a lot of faith in Pyke. However, you can't tell me that we won't suffer from getting rid of a midfielder who's top 5 in the comp (unless Brouch immensely defies expectations).
