Just got home from the Pies v Saints practice match..... During the 2nd Quarter, Brad ******** came limping off, i dunno but it looked like a knee or ankle?

Any news on what happened? (Some say S Baker gave him a cheap shot, but didnt see as it was behind play)

Left halfway through the 3rd quarter.... good to see the pies in action again!! not much to report really, was just interested in seeing the young kids go... From who i could think off the team was missing Rocca, B Johnson, Buckley, Didak, Holland, Clement (although he might have played when i left), N Brown, Goldsack, Egan, Rusling, O' Brian, Anthony, R Shaw and Stanley.... I personally wasnt too interested in the scoreboard but in watching the youngsters play. We were about 35 points up halfway through the 3rd when i left.

Brad D ick was very lively when he was on.... i just hope its not a serious injury because in one passage of play he chased Goddard down which was good to see. Pendelbury showed plenty of poise and class for the 2nd week in a row. Reid is a very tall chap who is extremely quick, could be used on the wing, he played full forward and did a few good things without being spectacular. Thomas was ok without being great, kicked a goal in the 3rd. H Shaw and Maxwell dominated off half back. Medhurst kicked a few in the first quarter. Josh Fraser looked very imposing in the forward line, i reckon Josh is in for a very big year.

Pick 9 for the Saints, Armitage looked very good.

Lets just hope the injury to D ick is not too serious, and that he can play in 2007.

Cloke did very well, provided a presence around centre half forward. Played a very good game... Leon Davis also was electric in the midfield!

Medhurst kicked a few in the first quarter.

Well, one!

Player comments

1. Davis - Very good in midfield, the bigger guns he has is certainly helping him extract the harder ball. His goal was very good.

3. Lonie - Serviceable, made a couple of disposal errors though.

7. Medhurst - Played a quarter and a half, looked good though.

8. Clement - Played second half, bit rusty

10. Pendlebury - Quieter than last week, but his goal in the 3rd was something else

11. O'Bree - Good but not great, usual 20 odd touches game from him.

12. Cox - Some good, some bad, looked ok though.

13. Thomas - Very good, got into it more and more as the game went on, finished with two goals

14. Wakelin - Started like a house on fire, had one kicked on him by Gehrig

17. Burns - Usual hard Burnsie game

18. Licuria - Played hff, pretty quiet

20. Reid - Took a couple of good grabs, certainly looks a player

21. Richards - Made a hit out. SUCCESS ;)

24. Lockyer - Played back pocket and was very very good. Looked to be quicker than last year.

25. Fraser - Four goals for a first hit out says it all, looks unstoppable at FF

27. Maxwell - Would have been in our best, usual game

29. Cook - Quiet

32. Cloke - Great hands all day, kicked two, had a couple more chances but presented at every opportunity.

33. ******** - Got injured, but ran down Goddard Davey-style. Amusing

34. Toovey - Fantastic, got a tonne of it sweeping across the back half

35. Prestigiacomo - Dead set ball magnet. He kept a clean sheet when he was on the ground.

36. Swan - Slowly but steadily got more and more into it, needs another hit out though

37. Iles - Got a heap of it and looks very good when breaking the lines

39. Shaw - Magical game, played on the wing, kicked two.

40. Bryan - Serviceable game. Took some nice marks, and his tap to Medhurst for the games first was awesome

44. Nicholls - Pretty quiet.

******** got a kick to the leg. Should be fine. Heard a physio tell his mother during half-time.
Ill fill everyone in about the game another time. And how the players went.

im gonna get in first with a line i'm sure we're gonna hear every time he's injured...

was he limp....ing off?

He felt excrutinating pain when he fell to the ground and he called the trainers over for some assistance. A mini-brawl irrupted in the centre, and Maxwell had a few "kind" words to say to Baker in the meantime. I dare say Baker targeted Dick and it looked intentional looking on from the stands. What nerve does he (Baker) possess trying to take out a first-year player (30 metres off the ball): What a tool

Hey Johnno. Mate, you seem to know a lot of what is going on so i want to ask you if their is any truth to the Rusling/shoulder at Williamstown rumor. Please tell me it's all just a rumor.
