Well if that’s the case he’s blinked. Essentially pick 19 and Starc for pick 16. Hmmm… awful. This has Ambrogio written all over it.
The king of getting other clubs involved.
Is Dom. Is Good.
Edit: and now pick 22. Much better!

Updated trade looks better actually
Matty Clarke has done it again, the reverse fleece
This is why you wait for details. Decent trade for Brisbane in the end, values Starce somewhere between 16 and 22.
Nah pretty shit from a WC perspective, Bris done well out of it.Not a fleece - 22 and some points upgrades for Starce is good business by WC…unless you’re underrating how good Starcevich is?
Win-win in my view

Starc is a head knock away from retiring, his value in a trade with a competently run club would be next to zero but this is West CoastNot a fleece - 22 and some points upgrades for Starce is good business by WC…unless you’re underrating how good Starcevich is?

I think you need to understand that most peoples' concerns on the price of the player are more around the concussions than the skill.Nonsense, the AFL literally just gave them the pick they needed to buy a dual premiership lockdown defender
The real problem with the competition is that so many Victorians have only watched a handful of Lions games in the past 3 years despite them playing the past three GFs…I say that because it’s obvious they don’t know how good Starcevich is
I mean, St Kilda appear happy to pay #7 for Flanders but you’re complaining that a first rounder for Starce is a stretch??
I think you need to educate yourself on the player before entering the discussion
I do know how good he is, WC had leverage and fumbled it.You just don’t know how good Starcevich is yet…you’ll come round, he’s a weapon

This isn’t Monopoly brahI do know how good he is, WC had leverage and fumbled it.
And west coast got fleeced
Either they've checked out Starcevich medically and think he's fine, or Clarke is the biggest rube in the league.Starc is a head knock away from retiring, his value in a trade with a competently run club would be next to zero but this is West Coast
The real loser out of this is Cal Twomey who was so desperate to outscoop Sam Edmund that he tweeted about 8 incorrect variations of the trade before he got it right.
The trade itself is fine, the disappointment is that it causes the eagles to lose a chance at pick 7 in favour of 12 + 33. I’m confident Brisbane would have accepted 22 if push came to shove. This isn’t Monopoly brah
