What’s your best guess?who knows? If Melbourne lose a grand final they may offer up a high pick to get a 25 year old in their prime to help out.
would you trade Maynard for pick 7?
I would say highly unlikely.

Not a chance. Why would you give up a proven player who is only going to get better for the inherent uncertainty of a pick?who knows? If Melbourne lose a grand final they may offer up a high pick to get a 25 year old in their prime to help out.

And it wouldn’t be a first round pick either. Not a chance. Why would you give up a proven player who is only going to get better for the inherent uncertainty of a pick?
What is the likelihood of that happening?

Not a player already proven to be of high value. So you would never trade a player for a draft pick?![]()

Yes been thinking the same thing about the Dees, certainly have their fair share of imports.Maynard needs to stay. He is your heart and soul (Ben Johnson) type player.
i am a bit confused how Melbourne can afford an expensive free agent style recruit every season, while still retaining their internal quality players. Doesn’t add up to me.
depends what we can get from him.
if we got offered pick 7 or 8 like Carlton got for Saad would you turn that down?
Brad Hardie is a renown shit stirrer and rumour monger. Probably bitter because he could never make it at Collingwood. Can I just confirm, that these pages of discussion about a Maynard departure are based on one suggestion of the possibility by some guy on the radio a few weeks back?
I don’t think Maynard is leaving, but…
Imagine Bucks ends up as coach of Gold Coast next year. Wouldn’t be hard to imagine some Collingwood players wanting to follow him. Far fetched I know, but stranger things have happened.
Trading the Weed. Didn’t you hear he’s the hottest young key forward prospect in the AFL, just starved of opportunities. How are Melbourne getting pick 7 if they lose a Grand Final?
trade maynard for ben simmons
Would Hind let through 8 goals in two losses against Greene, well objectively, no - because we wouldn't have that matchup, we would likely play Quaynor on him if Maynard wasn't there...
And it wouldn’t be a first round pick either.
Yeah the first round pick is going the other way for Weideman anyway if Tom Morris is on the money. He'll eventually connect the dots with his favourite coloured crayon and come up with Maynard for Weideman as a deal which is fair for both sides.
Weideman gives me Jesse White vibes
Ben appears to have found his inner demons and developed a solid "team oriented" approach to scoring while also working hard to drop his set shot accuracy to a suitable level over the past 4-6 weeks, so he might be a better (perfect?) fit for our forward line now than he was previously?
Be the first player to decline an All Australian position...
That's a bit harsh Jesse actually had the occasional decent game here and there...
