Ricky Olarenshaw has been quoted saying that it is a surprise that this Melbourne based club has enquired about Brendan.

Couldn't be us, who do you think has made the enquiry..

Considering it was stated that it was a surprise, that actually puts us in the frame.

Collingwood, Carlton, Hawthorn and Geelong would be the main candidates for it to be surprising.. You could argue any club would be surprising!

I would have guessed the Cats, but they aren't really "Melbourne based".

North Melbourne? They have next to no forward line other then Petrie.

Cynic in me thinks Olrenshaw is just mentioning "a club" is interested, based on the theory that if clubs think someone is interested, perhaps its not a big as gamble as they thought it was and they'll start considering it.

Can't see it been us though.

I am tipping St Kilda.

They can pay him peanuts which is exactly what they need as their salary cap is stuffed. He can be the extra marking forward they have been looking for to support Riewolt since Gehrig left.

Apart from his off field dramas, which you would think the Saints don't really need to expose themselves to, he is a perfect fit. With the position they find themselves in he is worth a punt. Not having a coach to make the final call does make it trickier though.

Eddie was all over Fev when he was sacked by the blues and they're still mates so no reason to think there mightn't be a bit of a 'give a mate a break' thing going on here. If he'll play for peanuts and we've got cap issues then it'd make twisted sense to let go certain players pushing for more coin and bring in an elite but desperate last chancer who'll play for next to nothing.

Yeah, I thought that too but I don't know how much power Ed wields or if Buckley has any relationship with Fevola at all. Pretty damn good medium/3rd tall forward to slip in next to Dawes and Cloke but I'd want him kept in a padded room between matches.

Considering Bucks was mightily unimpressed as a commentator when he saw Fev cavorting with his St Kilda mates after a Carlton loss a few years ago, I daresay his opinion of Fevola wouldn't have improved much in the interim.

I would say it would be Melbourne cos they are trying to get Mitch Clarke.if that fails they may try and get Fev as a last resort.
