Heard his manager on the radio this morning and it sounds like we've pulled an offer we had on the table for him. Could signal some serious cap issues if we are withdrawing offers...

For mine, it would be a travesty to lose a player of his calibre. As has already been discussed on this forum, he was an integral part of last years premiership side and I believe he will be integral to the next...

Has anyone heard from a Collingwood official since the draft what the plan is for Caff ??????

My take is that the guys without contracts were the ones we looked at trading, the offers were either not there or not good enough and now we go back to the table for the ones we want to keep. I suspect McCarthy will be delisted. I am sure Macaffer can be accomodated on a 2 year deal. Ditto Goldsack who I think is still uncontracted. Dick might be in trouble but the suggestion of rookie listing him has a lot of merit IMO. Problem is he might be snapped up by someone else. We probably have to take that risk though.

We have to deist a few and if Hine & co have their eyes on a few players there will e a few under pressure as people have discussed in the various threads. For mine Buckley is the one with experience and therefore salary we can do without. I just don't see a need for the depth he provides with Clark coming onto the list an Toovey re signed. I'd keep Goldsack way ahead of Buckley and we still have Johnson and a few kids pushing through.

I reckon that's about right. Besides Clarke we also have Young and possibly Yagmoor.

This is just a rumour, but i've heard 3 times now that the Caff likes to enjoy himself more than most on his nights out, i wont get into exactly what was said but it wasn't great, as i said, it's just something i've heard on more than one occassion, not by any great sources mind you.

boys can tell you for sure goldy is signed for 2012 signed a 2 yr contract at the end of 2010 did get offered a 3 yr deal with freo but turned it down to stay at pies..good for us

If one of our guys ends up in the National Draft/Preseason Draft hopefully GWS pick them up so it counts as an uncontracted player pick up and we get compensated.
