Would we like to see Brent at the Crows next year, and what would we be willing to pay for him? A young player with great skills. Pies, Dogs, North, Port and Crows are said to be interested.

Good player, but hes playing for Geelong, must be put in perspective.
Not a big fan on Varcoe, i wouldnt really want him at the AFC, got enough small-medium forwards/midfielders.

Although I would like to see Prismall at Adelaide. Really dont rate Varcoe but if we were going to get a midfielder I would like it to be Adam Thomson!
 
You might be right about Davey being a frontrunner. But he is a skillful player and the quick classy forward we need. Might replace douglas drummond ;) he would probably flourish playing alongside McLeod and Stiffy

yeah good points. The call was a little harsh. Unlike jericho, at least Davey runs and takles hard - sometimes.

Generally agree, but not necessarily in the Prismall case. Not high picks anyway, and I think he'd probably go for a second rounder. Stats can be very deceptive in a team like Geelong where they share the ball around so much and are just a bunch of out and out champions.

No doubt he's got some class but there'd question marks over whether or not that could translate into good consistent form in a team where he'd have to be a front line midfielder instead of a Bartel, Ablett, Selwood, Corey, Stokes, Enright, Chapman, Kelly afterthought.
 
Prismall would be good at the crows but not for the price or the decrease of development of our own young players
Thompson, VB, Vince, Porplyzia, Knights, Reilly, Mackay, Symes, Douglas, Otten, Dangerfield, Petrenko
i think we have enough young talent to not need to go for someone like Prismall

Not too sure about Varcoe
can't say i've seen much of him but what i have hasn't impressed me enough to say we need him
 
We need the Varcoe type - pace, crumber, a bit of X-factor - more than we do the Prismall type as we already have enough of those in Reilly, Mackay, Vince, VB etc... And while Prismall gets a lot of the ball he's not the best user of it either.

He was taken at pick 60-ish in the 2005 draft. It was quite obvious that nobody rated him before that because he was drafted as a 21 year old. No point regretting not picking him up as a rookie before that. He didn’t show anything at all until last year. If we rookie listed him, he would’ve been delisted after his first season.

If you’re gonna regret missing a player, go for something more tangible, like overlooking Monfries for Meesen :thumbsu:
